Seal Crackle Souns

Hello, I’ve been dealing with a crackling sound. Imagine two plastic connectors coming w/disconnected. During my first service I asked them to look into it - but was told they couldn’t go on a long enough drive to hear it. It’s not always, but I feel it happens when the track is on? But it may not be. Has anyone experienced this?

Me too, i believe it comes from the front vents, when vents are opening/closing i think - a very annoying crackle sound. It sounds like someone throwing sand on the windshield, right?

A lot of BYDs seem to have this crackling sound. Technicians say it’s nothing to worry about but it doesn’t seem to happen in other cars afaik.

Are you thinking of the sound the steering wheel makes when it essentially loads the indicator to spring back? I noticed this is very loud compared to my other car. You can check if that is the issue just sitting at idle, indicate to turn right, turn the wheel right until it makes a cracking/clicking noise which allows the indiator stalk to spring back when you turn the wheel back in the other direction. This is the only cracking noise I hear in the car.

I notice creaking from the front from time to time, i think its just the plastics shifting in the cold/heat, must al be packed very tight.

In my seal I still have the plastic screen guards on both the central and drivers display... I assumed it was that plastic getting cooled after getting some sun.
