New Seal, Motion Sickness?

FUBARdotEXE | 2024-12-07 10:12 | 12 views

Hey All Recently bought a Seal Premium and love the car. First EV switch and feel like we are in prime time for models and technology in this space for cars etc I noticed since getting in the car and driving I've felt queasy sometimes during and after that I never had before Has anyone experience similar when driving their seal when they first got it ? My thoughts were 1. New Car smell - it was strong and my friend mentioned it smelt a little like cleaning products but I can't tell. No interior coating from the dealership 2. Inertia from the speed and lack of gears, my brain is expecting something different. I'll get used to it 3. I'm getting small electroshock from a misplaced wire (long shot but I like to have 3 😄) Thanks all

Do you have the regen braking set to high? Been many reports of people feeling motion sickness with high regen.

I've had it at standard since I got it Switch to sport mode from time to time on straight or to power past for overtake etc but not much less than 5% of driving in sport

Hmm, all I've got is the high regen thing. I've felt slightly funny after flooring it in sports, just the quickest car I've owned. That feeling is getting less over time. But can't say I've had motion sickness.

Definitely shifts the gut when you put the foot down. She is quick. Makes me wonder what performance would have felt like! Too much haha I'm leaning towards the new car smell and see if it works it self out Windows down more air-conditioning avoid mode

People tend to say regen braking causes it in Teslas but on standard regen the Seal slows down like any normal petrol car. Agreed that the smell isn’t great, much prefer the scent of my new MG4 which is more typical.

I’ve owned two electric cars over the past few years and both gave us motion sickness. I believe the regen braking is the biggest contributor to the motion sickness.

You can also try adjusting the suspension/braking between comfort and sport. Not sure if it will help but worth a try

I had motion sickness for the first fortnight. Stick to eco mode and turn braking regen to low until you adjust.

My new seal caused me to vomit twice in the first week. Combination of the smell and the braking. Windows down in the sun at home helped get rid of the smell. Putting the braking on the lowest setting. About a month later, I didn’t get motion sickness any more.

My kid was having motion sickness. Set the regen braking to low and run in eco mode and he is fine now. I also turn off the infotainment system when not in use

When I first got it I had the same issue and had to turn regen to low After a while a switch to high and never get motion sickness again, and got used to the semi one pedal driving
