Underneath byd seal performance

Hey everyone. I had someone point out to me while in the car behind me that I had some stuff hanging from below the car. I had a look and it appears there is some carpet attached at the rear underneath that has ripped (I'm not sure what from). Has anyone had any experience with this? It doesn't seem like it's worth rushing to a mechanic over.

Best to provide a photo but based on what you said it could be part of the rear under tray being damaged.

Yeah this is it, thanks for the heads up, guess I should probably take it in before it rains.

Had the same issue on mine yesterday. I could hear the panel flapping at speed. Took it into the local dealer near work this morning. The service advisor instantly accused me of hitting something. I called him out instantly. With his tail between his legs, he drove mine into the workshop straight away. After a short wait, he comes back and said it all done. Obviously i wanted more information than that and asked what has been done, and what has caused it, because i am the only person to drive it since new 5,800 kms ago. The mechanics apparently fitted larger washers under the clips that go through the panel into the cars mounting holes. He mentioned that all the clips were still there and said i must have caught the panel on something which pulled the trim off of the clips. My unfounded belief is that the flimsy material is catching air underneath, and that over time is stretching it until it pulls the trim over the pins. I will get under it tonight and post some photos later on to show whatever they did to fix it..... for now.

Hey thanks for the reply, I've been ignoring it for the most part and was just gonna get the mechanics to look at it when they service it as there are no dealers in Rockhampton.

In Rocky... wow that must turns some heads. The old girl lived up there on the northside for years, great place when it's not +40c hahaha
