Due to privacy laws I believe the UK models do not come with the wiring Loom installed. My new Seal U DMi is due in about two weeks and I ordered both the dash cam and the cable to be certain. I'll report back soon. Steve.
So I have followed all instructions and plugged in the wiring from the loom that was already there but the app isnt appearing on my dashboard. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks
If you haven’t already, reboot the system. Hold down the volume wheel on the central console. That forces the system to reboot (like restarting a phone, this is a good thing to do periodically anyway). Hopefully the dash cam app will then be available
i HAVE JUST TAKEN DELIVERY OF MY NEW BYD SEAL U DESIGN, IT HAS THE HOUSING FOR THE DASH CAM, BUT NOT THE PRE INSTALLED WIRING LIKE IVE SEEN ON SOME VIDEOS POST ON THE NET. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT I NEED TO BUY TO GET THE WIRING IN, AND DOES ANYONE HAVE A DIAGRAM OR EVEN A VIDEO OF HOW TO DO IT. THANKYOU. SUVs & Crossovers
There's a very good guidance video on YouTube done by Louis Taylor...he is also in the UK Seal U-DMI FB groups offering the dashcam installation services.
