BYD Seal demo

Hey team, I've been sweatily eying off the BYD Seal for a time now. I've been seeing a few demos for sale on car sales. There's a performance with 12k KMs at 60,000 (about 8k off the normal price before drive away). In general, is this a deal? I'm assuming it's been someone's daily from BYD and they are now getting rid of it? How many KMs is too many?

12k, sounds more like a used car

Yeah, I guess it is isn't it. Would you say it's a bad deal at the price?

I am no expert on dealer demo's and what the discount should be, but looking at the others on car sales (there are 5 including the one you looked at). Price wise it is the lowest but also most kms. Ask if the vehicle has had any repairs and check if any signs of wear and tear showing early). When I was doing test drives at Alexandria earlier this year their performance model was in for repairs.

it wont have the tesla charger fix.

Is that being rolled out for all seals?

Don't forget too if an actual demo then it's probs been thrashed more times than most cars would in that 12km. If from BYD does it come with full warranty as new starting from when someone buys it?

its in cars built from march 2024 some people have been able to get the fix retrofit (influencers and serial complainers), but there is no word on it being rolled out to all.

Ok, that's food for thought. I have no influence in my house, let alone online.

I'm assuming it's been a staff members car. If I'm interested ill have a chat

For $60K, why not consider the Premium model brand new? Has most of the features of the performance and plenty of go for just about anyone. I have the Performance and whilst I love it, it has ridiculous levels of acceleration that you really don't need 99% of the time.
