BYD Seal app - some functions failing

I am having problems with my BYD Seal app (Australia).When I initiate the air conditioning and seat heating functions on the app, they both fail \["a/c failed"; "setting for driver seat unsuccessful"\]. Also, the a/c schedule function suggests it will work, but then doesn't turn on at the scheduled time. Curiously, some functions work - e.g. status (charging level etc); locking; flashlight. Anyone else have similar problems and have stumbled upon a solution? I find the app a bit glitchy when you try to do more than one command in a row. If you are doing 2 functions, try to leave a gap of about 5 seconds in between the first and second function. If it starts glitching, restart app.

Maybe it doesn't like running the ac if you're charging with the granny charger?

I have the same issue. My app just went online today (took 2.5 weeks). Lock works, light works, door status and tyre pressure works. The car tells me the range and % SOC. It will fail AC, seat heating and unlocking. Not too happy about that.

yes, that's exactly the problem. BYD customer care were somewhat unhelpful (or maybe not) by saying they couldn't help and to take the car to a service centre.

Also having the same issue with mine currently. Presumably everyone got there seal from the batch that came mid May?

yes, mine was mid-may delivery. it is a March manuf so thankfully works on tesla superchargers. But an app fix would be nice. Scheduled 5k service in Aug so will take up with them then.

Update, I took mine for a 40m drive to work today. And thought I would give it a try again after about 7 hours and it’s now functioning correctly. Not sure what caused the fix. Possibly a change in data speeds due to better reception? But I would only be guessing. I’ll try is at home again tonight.

It suddenly works now. The only things I did were reinstalling the app (didn't immediately fix), left a voicemail stating byd app issues (no return call).

dont have it charging and see if it still fails. Might not turn on the AC while charging because it will drain more than it will cahrge.

hang in there. might just be a temporary glitch. hopefully it will come good for you by itself after a week, as mine did.

I have been having the same issues with my Seal (March 2024 build) that I picked up 2.5 weeks ago. It took 10 days for the data/app to activate. For the last 5 days I had the same failure warning. Today for some reason, through no action of myself, it all just started working. I hope all mothers have similar result.

I collected my seal performance last week March build , same issue I can see the status of everything but cannot lock or unlock the car or activate the ac just keeps failing
