Is the Seal the best bang for buck

hossi80 | 2024-03-27 07:13 | 15 views

I was a bit surprised to learn the base trim Seal here in Australia (which is still pretty luxurious) is about the same price as the Atto 3 and higher spec MG4. It's even cheaper than an equivalent trim Camry and Sonata. Just wondering if any owners/prospective buyers can share what they compared it to and what tipped it in favour of the Seal? Cheers

I have the Seal Dynamic base model and I can say that it is Best Bang for Buck. , I don't miss not buying the premium for once. I was deciding between MG4 and Seal and glad that I ended up with Seal. I did the test drive for the Kia EV6, Tesla Model 3 and EV9. Even my base model has ventilated front seats, all the security features, and a reasonable range (500km on full charge) and it beats all other EV cars by miles in looks and feel. Android Auto and Apple car play are supported with superb default navigation as well. Toyota Camry is over-hyped with 2 years of wait time and has similar price point.

I checked out Tesla 3 which I just didnt like the look of, bibble jetson looking things where the Seal really turns heads even now when more on the roads. Also don't like the fact Tesla remove stuff and then have cult following that seems to take lack of features as a bonus to them? Not to mention price for base was price for top performance. Looked at MG4, MG 4 XPower but interior in both was just so much hard plastic, and felt cheap. I remember sitting in Seal at XP Centre and couldn't believe the price for what was offered. I also went Premium tho, mainly for things already mentioned and HUD is also great bonus. The biggest initial letdown for Swal was the LKA and ADAS, both now are much better after OTA updates, to point where I don't turn off when I drive now. I just have to turn off the speed warning, as still flaws in that. Following a Bis with 40 sign on back makes your car think anything over 40 is speeding 😳

Lol yeah I do agree about speed signs. When leaving our shared driveway, there is a 10km/H sign and car continues to beep until next speed signs which is fair bit away

I'd suggest at each of the price points that the Seal seems to be amazing value. I've got the performance, and it feels like you'd to spend $30k - $40k more to match it with another option.
