Yeah, I was thinking about mudguards, however, heard that they're a bit ticky to install due to the location of screws/clips. Yeah, I was thinking about mudguards, however, heard that they're a bit tricky to install due to the location of screws/clips.

Nice, will give it a go. With winter around the corner, it's good to have some mudguards.

Still waiting on mine to arrive but already have a small shopping list! - Sunglasses Holder fits in pretty well with the interior - If you feel the sound system is underpowered, apparently changing the stock amp to an aftermarket amp makes a world of difference with the original speakers and sub. - Not sure if this is around yet, but I have been seeing rumours of an aftermarket automatic sunshade being made available sometime in the future. It fits onto the roof like the normal sunshades, but you can push a button to open or retract it.

CodeRevolutionary240 2024-03-27 03:16

Sunshade would be nice!! must be battery-powered I guess.

Just received this and seems a bit fiddly, will spend some time this afternoon to fix it. https://preview.redd.it/aadzttvhosqc1.jpeg?width=463&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cd818eac0625c2fa22c1cad0ecdcf178e407a71c

Black badge covers for the front, black badges for the back. Seat belt "extenders" which disable the weight sensors when you want to place a bag on the back seat.

CodeRevolutionary240 2024-03-27 03:54

Will that not encourage kids not to wear seatbelts?:)

[deleted] 2024-03-27 04:18

I solved this problem by not having kids lol

The rubber insert for the under gear selector storage area, and also the insert that goes in the armrest storage 'bin' are both great! Got them from TopBYD

CodeRevolutionary240 2024-03-27 06:08

Yes got them too. Although I think under gear storage area is bit hard to reach at times.

Numerous-Implement47 2024-03-27 06:10

Yeah agree, it's my long term storage area at them moment, the arm rest bin insert with dividers definitely made that more usable for me

Numerous-Implement47 2024-03-27 06:11

I'm thinking of getting the brushed metal pedal covers, anyone got them and any thoughts on whether good or not?

CodeRevolutionary240 2024-03-27 07:46

They look bloody good. Here is the video review from Tom. I have one on order too :) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUWlUf08QiE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUWlUf08QiE)

Unlikely, I've seen videos of people upgrading the sound system and you have to map out the inputs and outputs correctly and solder connections. Not that difficult if you've worked on car audio before. But can be a bit daunting if you haven't because you have to cut factory wires.

I think the only real essential is floor mats, anything else is up to preference. I have also bought: * Frunk liner tray * rubber boot liner * trays for center consoles * mat for wireless chargers * matte screen protector for center screen to reduce glare * umbrella style folding sunshade for windscreen * byd dashcam. I also plan on installing a separate 4k dashcam, but decided to get the byd one also because it records some information about what the car is doing, which might prove useful in an incident. * load of Bowdens car cleaning stuff, and a new hose & gun for my pressure washer. ( I reversed over it ) * new custom plates * awesome plate brackets from the plate bracket co. * 7kW Zappi charger * signal blocking box for keys. I park right close to the house, so don't want to risk either relay attacks or 12v battery problems. * byd tshirt and hat because im a complete dork. I think thats it.

Keen to get reviews of umbrella sunshade, once you get your seal of of course :)

SexyDraenei 2024-03-27 21:17

hopefully there is one for me on the Don Juan. I'm without a car at the moment because I hit a kangaroo with my old one.

oh Nooo. Hope you are well

CodeRevolutionary240 2024-03-28 00:22

Not much. Although a steering wheel cover provides more grip and can perhaps stop getting the original wear off, especially with all that sun, etc. They are sub $20 anyways.

I haven't, but if you have the equipment, I say go for it. I don't think the fronts are dippable, at least not easily, as they sit in an indent which makes them hard to remove, hence why people are just putting black caps on them.

CodeRevolutionary240 2024-03-28 02:15

Dang! Poor roo. the car is still driveable yeah?

SexyDraenei 2024-03-28 02:34

im sure its not a big deal to lift it.

SexyDraenei 2024-03-28 02:36

not really, all the radiator and intercooler were smashed in, I had to limp it into the next town at 20km/h and call someone for a ride. Insurance called it a total loss and paid out. The upside is that I don't have to mess around selling it when my Seal comes, and I had new for old replacement so they paid me out $35k on a car I had insured for $24k and was going to sell for $20k

CodeRevolutionary240 2024-03-28 02:39

Nice, thats a win-win. Good luck with your Seal delivery, I am sure you will love it. Delivery experience and updates are bit meh.

SexyDraenei 2024-04-01 09:18

I have bought a can ready to try it. I'm going to debadge rear and try to dip the front.

SexyDraenei 2024-04-01 09:19

wonder how long before someone in china brings out a plug and play harness for it

jayman2142 2024-05-11 01:53

Where can I find a suitable cover? I've only found super expensive ones or ones that require needle and thread to fit

CodeRevolutionary240 2024-05-11 04:47

I got this one and have been using for 2 months, its fine for the price. [https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006275944550.html](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006275944550.html)
