My new BYD Seal is randomly activating the hazards for half a second all the time, has been happening for the past days.

Just bought a BYD Seal a couple weeks ago, so far no problems except this one. I‘ve started experiencing this issue only when I am in traffic. Am not sure if this is a software issue, option in the car or worst case scenario breaks have issues, if this is software or an option. How can I fix it?

Does it happen every time a car behind you gets close fast? The Seal does have a feature that activates the hazard lights if it thinks a crash is imminent to warn other traffic participants.

It's a byd function to warn motorist n urself heading too fast towards u from the rear

doesn’t it happen when a car is coming fast behind you. that’s just to warn you about a predicted collision

Not sure but whenever i break, but i think its over sensitive because even if i break in a mid range the hazards still turn on. Even at times when am not the driver...
