Byd Seal Excellence 2025 /Trunk opens by itself

I'm not sure, but I've gone out to my car 2 times now over the 12 months I've had it and had the same my car is a Seal U DMI Though.

Holly shit man, sorry to hear - until last week i was the only one with the problem i've heard. My trunk started opening by itself ... opening ... closing ... opening ... closing - didn't want to close, didn't want to open fully: [https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ltKzLJIQvvs](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ltKzLJIQvvs) I've had this problem and got my car fixed on last friday. It took them 10 days to analyze the problem and get the part from Netherlands (BYD big storage), because the local storage didn't have the part. They had to remove the rear bumper and change a cable, i think the receiver - one of the pins in the electric cube was broken and was causing short circuits or something similar - so you can suggest it to your service point as my local BYD service point had to get BYD technician from somewhere to find out the problem because their mechanics couldn't find the issue. The good news is if you close the car with you inside - it won't open. When i was there first time with the issue they did a quick repair = took out fuse so the trunk was cut off and won't open (won't work). The reparation was totally free and i got the exchange car for 10 days also for free, that's the good part, the bad part is that after few days i wanted my car back as it's the best car ever to drive.

I have had the same problem, first they change the new motor for the trunk, then it still happens, they figured if I close by the key then it would stay locked but if I press the button it wouldn’t. Opened by itself once in my parking garage and after numerous time at the dealership it’s gone now

Have you talked to your dealer about warranty service?. That's what most people do

Nope, as you can read I've had this issue for a day. Dealer is not open during night time. And why would I bother repair shop if this is a issue of an update or something? I would appreciate if you stay out of comment sections if you don't have anything to give to the topic. That's also what most people do.

Thanks bro. I'll contact the dealer. My trunk just opens, only when stationary and locks open. Sometimes when I park and sometimes when I open locks. Won't open when it's locked.
