Downsizing screen from 15” to 12” on BYD Seal

Hi. Had anyone downsized their infotainment screen from 15” to 12”? Particularly on byd seal I find the 15” screen on seal excessively big and I need to stretch my arm to the other side of the screen for some CarPlay navigation functions. Part of the screen is also blocked by the steering wheel which is a very common issue The screen also blocks the aircon vent on the driver side Since I’m not watching any videos on the screen, I’m considering to downsize the screen Would there be any issues? Had anyone else done this before?

I’m not sure about changing the screen but I’ve bought an extension arm that allows me to tilt the screen towards me and it makes reaching the top corner a lot easier

I put in a directional joint behind mine but would love to upgrade from the smaller screen tbh so I think you might be experiencing a grass is greener fallacy. All you need is to pry off the plastic carefully then if I recall correctly 2x bolts and to remove the blue screen connector, it then roatates about 30 degrees to unlock and come out.

Was wondering about that, does it move the screen forward a bit so the steering wheel doesn't block so much of the right side? Or is it still the same?

Same same unfortunately

Sad, but thanks for confirming!
