From what I've seen with the DiLink system in BYD vehicles, there isn't a straightforward native option to upload custom wallpapers directly through the infotainment settings menu. What the USB method — you can put a properly formatted image file on a USB stick, plug it into the front USB port, and sometimes the system will recognize it for wallpaper selection. Stick to standard formats like JPG or PNG and keep the resolution reasonable, around 1080p or 1920x1080, since the Seal 6 has either a 12.8-inch or 15.6-inch screen depending on your trim. If that doesn't work, some folks have had luck using Android Auto or CarPlay to at least get a different visual experience, though that's obviously not a true custom wallpaper. Honestly, BYD's software is pretty locked down compared to some other brands, so your options might be limited until they push an update with more customization features.

Thx appreciate it. Does the file on the USB need a special name?

Usb ports would not work for me, no idea how to get data transfer working. Micro sd slot works perfectly fine, uploaded a few custom ones. Just standard Fat formatting (ex-fat or fat32)

That will allow you to go to gallery, select the card, image and apply it as wallpaper.

Yes I have done it in my SL7 loaded in via USB and saved them in gallery. Works perfect

SD card slot, load photos on, go to wallpaper or files and you'll ba able to select and use any image there as a wallpaper. I've always used my own. Note: changinrthe theme will defialt the wallpaper to that style and you will need to reapply

Well here that is not working in my Seal U DM-i. I tried a 128GB as well as a 32GB micro sd card; both formatted as FAT32 and a 1920x1080 .jpg and also a .png file (including a photo) on it. I put the micro sd card at the front between the 2 usb-c ports. At the infotainment screen I do not see a possibility to load a wallpaper from sd card. I only see the options Theme and Background and in both no wallpaper from the sd card. System version is 13.1.33.2506260.1

I have to correct my previous message/statement. A 128GB SD with a wallpaper graphics file on it can be used in my BYD Seal U dm-i. In another post I will explain how I got this working.

I did it. There was posted here, that you’d use a SD card. I took a 128GB micro sd card, formatted it as FAT32 and put a wallpaper 1920x1280 on it in jpg graphics. This was already written in this thread (thx guys). Also 1920x1080 is working, but here 1920x1280 gives a better pic. The wallpaper file at sd card was NOT recognized by the infotainment screen (not as wallpaper theme neither as background), but I had to do something else to get it working: - select main screen with the apps (press home) - select help programms - select file management - choose at the top SD - click at your .jpg wallpaper file at sd - select it and confirm it as Background - when done: select home again and you have your background. You can even remove your sd, because the background is in byd memory. The only thing is: I have at the bottom permantly some wigdget like radio, car play, tyrenpressure, settings etc. I called it an annoying widget-bar. I could not get rid of those widgets, so İ changed/adjusted my picture: moved everything up and put something unimportant at the bottom of the pic so the widget-bar will be there. Good luck @ll
