You should be insane to compare Seal U with Cayenne, one is a commuter, the other one is a proper high end SUV

First that one is the Seal U, aka Song Plus in China. This model comes in electric and hybrid versions. It is also retired this year for the new Sealion 06 which again has electric and hybrid versions

yeah byds naming is all over the place, just look at the Seagull, its also sold as Dolphin Mini, Dolphin Surf, Atto 1

They will overcharge as much as they can for sure, however BYD is still a new name for western markets and it’s logo has no weight compared to Porsche, and in luxury market the logo matters just as much as the product(plus those BYDs handle rly bad)

What he saying is the name of this car being sealion 6 in some market is correct. In Australia and Thailand, this car from op is called sealion 6. The updated one in china is called sealion 06 and might change name for other countries again. BYD is not consistent with the naming

Aside from the fact that the BYD seagull costs twice as much in Australia as in China, companies still have to make a profit. If they don't overcharge by some miracle, it's just gonna be bought out by car scalpers with bots and resold like Pokemon cards.
