Remote heating glitch

Anyone else experiencing this? I use the phone app to turn the heating on say 20 minutes before I go out to the car in the morning. Used to work just fine.. go to the app page with the pic of the interior, edit the temp, hit 'turn on'.. app makes a comforting acknowledgement noise & heating comes on. Hit the icon on the steering wheel, steering wheel heat comes on. Hit the icon on the drivers seat, seat heating comes on for drivers seat. Repeat for passenger seat, passenger seat heating comes on. Used to all go smoothly without the slightest hiccup. Now, every time I try anything at all along the above lines, the very first action I try works flawlessly, every single time, whatever the weather, wherever on the drive I've parked - then after that, whatever I try to do, I just get long waits to failure and messages like "weak network signal around vehicle ", "the operation result was not received from the vehicle", "timeout" etc I've installed a really good full-featured WiFi network access point on the front of the house covering the drive. I've formed a vague impression that after I perform the first action, noise starts coming from the car (a fan or something). It sort of feels like the first action is kicking off a load of EMI which is then blocking further communication? That's just vague theorising from me, I don't know what's going on really. Seems to have started after a recent update. Autos & Vehicles

I haven’t had the recent update yet, but I have seen in another forum that some of those who have the new update are also experiencing issues with remote heating. It’s nothing to do with weak signal; it’s the new update… hopefully it’ll be patched soon. Forum & Chat Providers

It decided to update itself a couple of days ago, but problem persisted. "weak network signal around the vehicle". Discovered if you tap Settings > System > Cellular Data (the words not the toggle) six or seven times in quick succession it lets you fiddle around with the SIM card settings, a few guys in the Philippines reported success by playing in there. Didn't help matters for me though. In the end in complete frustration I deleted the app off my phone & hit 'factory reset' on the car. Once everything came back up & I'd reset everything as I wanted, problem gone. Remote controls all operate as they used to now. It's very hard to tell whether at any given point it's trying to do things via Bluetooth, WiFi or SIM card!

Hmm. Doing it again As soon as the first remote action succeeds, then forevermore until that action times out.. "weak network signal around vehicle". As soon as the first successfully remotely selected action turns itself off on the timer, "weak signal" goes away in the app, and you can successfully invoke one single more action.. and so on Trip to the dealer i think Mobile & Wireless Accessories
