Can't imagine buying this dumpster fire of a vehicle at all, let alone for a teenager to drive.

A few? And only after the crash?!
Dude bought a CT so there was probably some major brain-damage prior to the accident.

Fairly certain these death traps are not allowed on roads in other countries, no?
But of course here, you know...

Hey, he's a kid.
Obviously, not his vehicle. And he would have got his learners permit, what, a year or two before the crash? Cars should be safe for any occupant, you shouldn't need to be a mechanic or an expert to safely drive one.

It’s his first car, he is allowed to. Just don’t buy another one.

I thought I was the only one here. Dude saw multiple malfunctions and he just keeps driving on his merry way. Stop the fucking car and get it serviced.

There’s a reason after crowing about the safety of tre models x and y, He never even got the cyber truck rated for safety.

Getting out of the way of traffic is a reasonable reaction, especially if the street he was on had higher speeds. Most cars wouldn’t accelerate out of control following a loss of power steering, and it’s not likely a teen would understand that the CTs steering is drive-by-wire, much less how the failure mode would be different from any other car. Even other steer-by-wire systems (like Nissan’s) have a clutch pack that fails engaged, so mechanical control will be engaged when there’s a malfunction such as loss-of-power:

Do they? I’d expect most teen drivers to be in hand-me-downs.

He's an inexperienced teen who was faced with a unique situation. A more experienced driver would have reacted differently.

The other post got deleted, but his dad is Gilbert Arenas, a former 3x all-star in the NBA. His dad's total NBA earnings are $163m.
Alijah was one of the best high school basketball players in the country last year. The main organization that ranks prospects had him ranked as the 7th best high school prospect in the country.
He's likely going to make around $1m in NIL money next season at USC.

Shit, I read about him getting into a serious crash. In retrospect I should have assumed it was a cybershat.

To me, it's clear that the Cybertruck has many poorly thought out aspects to its design. And it's ugly as hell.

He was scared I think, and the car was drifting to the right. I assume his thought was "I'll speed ahead of traffic to get clear of others and then pull over."
But then it got out of control from there.
