Considering they just cancelled the Model X, I’m sure it won’t be long.

I was thinking so too but they added the 2 extra seat option to the regular MY so I'm worried it's an issue of retooling they aren't willing to invest in when it will likely cannibalize more Y sales. I think the YL is needed in that part of the word because the competition is fierce but in the US it's still mainly Tesla and a lot of legacy auto EVs with dicey support/tech/reliability/value.

Australian vehicles are made from the China factory anyway, so this wasn't logistically difficult to export to Australia

But in California, there's a lot of multi-generational families that could use the YL where roughly half of Teslas are sold. I'm hoping it'll come to the US as I've been holding off for one.
