So 32k out the door? Nota bad deal. I paid 31 for a 50k with 19 inch wheels but no acceleration boost or super charging or free fsd trial. And I thought my deal was pretty good. Listing was 28k with nearly 3k in fees like title, tags and whatever. I traded in my 2019 c300 Mercedes for it.

AltruisticPapaya1415 2026-02-21 01:48

I’m about ready to trade my white Y for a silver. I’ve wanted a silver Tesla since like 2016.

crazyjonwayne 2026-02-21 01:49

HW3 or HW4?

matt0947 2026-02-21 01:50

I’m hoping HW4, I didn’t see anything about it when I bought the car on the Tesla Used car page

cac2573 2026-02-21 01:53

And why were you a mad hater?

matt0947 2026-02-21 01:53

The midnight silver is awesome, I originally wanted a 26 Premium in Stealth Grey but I figured going used is the way to go. I was between grey and black but the black just seemed too plain

matt0947 2026-02-21 01:55

Anti Elon. I didn’t want to pay a single cent to support him, but then I actually rode in a Tesla with FSD and saw how awesome it was and all the features of the car were so convincing

grimmjoww1983 2026-02-21 01:56

Check the vin

AltruisticPapaya1415 2026-02-21 01:57

Yeah I don’t love the black either. How do you feel about the wood trim on the dash? I went with the white interior bcuz I felt like the wood looked too yellow.

matt0947 2026-02-21 01:58

I think it’s alright, but I would ideally like to buy a cover for it to black it out or some kind of carbon fiber, I like the whole dark color scheme

matt0947 2026-02-21 01:58

What do I do with the VIN to check if I don’t have the car yet? Is there like a website or something I plug that into that tells me manufacture information?

InstanceNoodle 2026-02-21 02:00

Same here. I pull my tesla stock to pay for the car. I was part of the group that pushed him to the $800b. The stock fell by a non consequential amount due to me.

crazyjonwayne 2026-02-21 02:02

VIN will tell you if its hw3 or hw4. Simple google search. VIN should be listed in your tesla app.

AltruisticPapaya1415 2026-02-21 02:03

I’m not the biggest fan of carbon tbh but I have thought about getting a cover for the white strip on the dash. Our interior is ever so slightly different, the strip on your dash extends to the doors whereas mine does not, so you’ll have a little bit extra to cover than I would.

BlueManifest 2026-02-21 02:04

I got a 2022 model 3 performance with FSD for 36k 2 years ago

matt0947 2026-02-21 02:04

Awesome I just checked and it’s on HW4, thank god lol. I ideally wanted the most latest year I could get for a good price and 2023 was the cut off, so Im glad that my model is still pretty up to date

EitherCharacter9342 2026-02-21 02:35

You are golden HW4 is the best

I actually rode in a 26 MY Premium and saw how awesome and high tech the features were. It also was a nice looking car. But another main reason was that I was going to get a newer-used Subaru Outback but saw that the Tesla was basically the same price, so I said you know what, I get FSD and I don’t have to pay so much in gas in the Outback

OldFargoan 2026-02-21 03:26

Currently

goldencrisp 2026-02-21 03:40

My buddy just got a 2026 Y and showed me the FSD and let me take it for a spin a few days ago. It was my first time in any EV and its really made me reconsider getting a truck here soon. The acceleration was terrifying and there’s some really good deals now. I think it’s *just* big enough to haul 2 goldens to the park.

Strangerthanyou77 2026-02-21 07:02

Its not better than 5

thinkbox 2026-02-21 07:52

Do t get me started about 6!

Obagam 2026-02-21 08:28

Sounds like me lol

word-dragon 2026-02-21 10:38

A Tesla is a computer with a car attached. So many new owners think the computer is there to run the nav and infotainment system, and miss that point. Glad you lucked into getting this right. Enjoy the car!

sodacantheman 2026-02-21 11:05

Weak morals.

Fuzzy_Club_1759 2026-02-21 11:35

How is your experience so far ?

Blazah 2026-02-21 12:43

Sort of the same. Elon is a terrible person... but in the end when it comes down to dollars there was no better deal than a 2025 model 3 RWD lease in May of 2025. 299/month 1000 in fees/tax/license.. couldn't be beat by ANY other brand. Even the base civic was coming out higher lease or finance. When you compare the features of this M3 RWD vs the honda it wasn't a hard choice. Makes me sad to think that if Elon would just be happy with his $ and stfu tesla would probably be selling a TON more.

matt0947 2026-02-21 12:49

Damn that’s a steal! I was originally going to go for a 2024 Subaru Outback which was a little more than what I paid my Tesla for. Higher monthly payment on the finance and factoring in gas prices for a big SUV with an 18 gallon tank, the Tesla deal was waaaaay better. Elon is an ass hat, but I couldn’t say no to how good of a deal the Tesla was.

grimmdrum 2026-02-22 23:56

Why out yourself on Reddit? Are you gonna be one of those clowns with the Anti Elon Club stickers on your Tesla too?

matt0947 2026-02-23 00:04

Yeah whatever Elon is the proprietor of Tesla and he’s an ass hat, but he’s not the one who makes the car himself. It’s a good vehicle and that’s all it comes down to

grimmdrum 2026-02-23 00:05

Heat pump failed today. Aside from that it's been awesome. Hoping to not get kicked around by a used car dealership not wanting to honor the warranty and also hoping Tesla extended warranty will cover it.

Fuzzy_Club_1759 2026-02-25 13:25

I assume comfort wise you might feel a downgrade coming from Benz ? Tech wise a generational upgrade ? Or am I wildly off ?

EnvironmentalFlow592 2026-02-28 02:54

This car has all the stuff my 2019 c300 didn't. Lane keeping, more power, suspension comfort, and more space. My Mercedes was beautiful, it had the amg package and nice upgrades with screen etc. but it wasnt touch screen, premium gas is expensive, it was low ride height which was fine at the time but pot holes seem like they are everywhere right now. I traded in because repairs seemed expensive and I had this feeling they were only going to get worse. All those moving parts mixed with electronic sensors just had me thinking: man if there was no transmission and the motor was basically static the only thing I'd have to really worry about is the battery. I then thought about how I've had the same lipo battery in my high performance radio controller car for 13 years. Way longer than I owned the Mercedes. I'm hoping it was an upgrade in every aspect besides beauty. Which to be fair, it's not a horrible looking car.
