Hello everyone, my question is is there anyway I can test 12 V battery before it goes bad on my Tesla model Y is four years old. Is it about time to replace this battery? Thank you.

just replace it, mine went out after trying to leave one morning with no warning on the 12v being the older acid battery. Its like $125ish at the service center and isn't that expensive. Always go with age 3-4years is about the time to get a new battery anyways.
Same way you can test it on an ICE vehicle. Take it to your local auto parts shop.

Are you sure it isn't the lithium 12v battery replacement? Model Ys transitioned in spring of 2022.
You can also buy a battery charger on Amazon that shows battery health and charge your battery too

You can find out for sure in the menus of the car. Go to software and then additional details (I forget the exact wording). It will say either lead acid or lithium ion.

Excellent! Then technically you have the newer battery type that is supposed to be a “lifetime” low voltage battery.
If your 2022 Model Y shows “Low Voltage Battery Type: Lithium-Ion”, then you do NOT have the old 12V lead-acid battery. Tesla switched to a lithium low-voltage battery (~15–16V system) around early-2022. Tesla lithium low-voltage 8–10+ years (expected)
Yeah you've got the latest battery there. Only replace if alerted to. I wonder what's the cost, probably a lot.
So the lithium battery doesn’t need to be changed over the lifespan of the car, unlike a regular battery?

Only if it is a 12v lead acid battery, which OP’s is not.
The 16V lithium ion batteries are similar to the vehicle’s high voltage battery pack and should last the same amount of time which is in excess of 10 years. The older 12V lead acid batteries are just standard ICE vehicle batteries and wear out between 3 and 5 years.
I’m still on the original 12v lead acid battery from 2020. I’m kinda thinking I should get a replacement ready. Tesla sells them cheap, like $50.
