No more EV incentive of $7500

OceanJean | 2026-03-15 19:54 | 4 views

The total cost is $43,000. How much did you get your model Y for? 43k out the door seems like a good price still? 0% APR

Which model is this? People were paying under that for the performance model I believe. Base lowest was like $34k, Dual Motor around $37k, and performance I believe was $40k or so.

42K for a new when I got my 2024, that included the tax credit + state incentives, plus there was an inventory discount. 2024 Model Y LR AWD. Recently for fun just checked to see what it's worth and the carvana offer was $32400. Not bad at all for a car with insane depreciation rate. This time last year it was worth $29000 so it's actually gone up in value likely due to a number of factors.

Price for what? Year? Trim? Options? There’s not enough information here to even guess

Juniper for like 43k I believe in 2025. Premium AWD

After incentives, back in Oct 2024, I paid $8,500 for an MYP. (the stars aligned beyond belief) I'm not selling that for a L O N G time. At least not until the next presidential administration, when the current endearment of oil and coal will be over.

Never paying for gas is worth every penny

RedElmo65 2026-03-15 20:34

Wait. How?? $8500!?

RedElmo65 2026-03-15 20:35

Ridiculous. $60k, ok 50k after incentives in 2018 for a crappy model 3 RWD!!!!

Great thing about Tesla is everyone pays the same price.

Zebraitis 2026-03-15 20:45

Honestly, it doesn't matter now... Those deals are long gone. But a big part of it was that I was a Colorado resident, recently retired, and qualified as low income. I did my research and hit every incentive I could, plus $5500 off from Tesla for buying that specific MYP. (It listed out as $52,500 to start)

I got my MYP in 2024 for $41k OTD. 1.99% financing

New 2025 model y performance, $34K (last year) Fed tax credit, colorado tax credit, + on sale Such a ridiculous deal, I couldn't pass it up

NuncaMeBesas 2026-03-15 21:22

Everyone pays the same until they change their prices. Then everyone pays the new price. Rinse and repeat

Oh nice. Colorado did have extra state incentive. I remember reading about it. But wow. Didn’t know it was able to bring it down that much! My parents got a Bolt for EUV from Calif for $17k that was $32k - $7500 fed -$7500 Calif low income.

Zebraitis 2026-03-16 02:31

It was nuts... Colorado had a cash for clunkers desk for $6k... So I bought a $1k Buick to give them, profiting the $5k. Excel Energy kicked in aboit $7500. And I had "made" an extra 13.5 k from an EV buy-back. (GM gave me full value, I kept the fed & state incentive) Then for the Tesla, Colorado had $5350, amd the Feds $7500. Hell, Tesla even threw in a Mobile Charger (used) just because I asked.
