Safety Issue Regarding Pickip

Not sure if this is supposed to be in the delivery thread or not. Was supposed to pick up my Blue AWD Premium Y tomorrow and at first they said they couldn’t deliver a car due to a safety issue. When I asked if it was damaged or a part was broken they said it was the passenger seat cooling blower. Not sure if that’s a safety issue outside of the thing maybe catching on fire? Anything I should check on pickup? At least they were transparent about it. Not sure when I can pick up my car now :(

I had to have mine replaced after pickup. It was making a loud obnoxious noise when the passenger seat ventilation turned on. Just make sure you get a good listen to yours when you pick it up, it should be nearly silent.

Year? I just picked up my wife's car two weeks ago and we took delivery and within 30 seconds of driving off the lot it gave a HVAC error and made a noise. They took it and gave us a loaner but it ended up being the blower as well. Ours was a model 3 awd 2024. Wonder if they got a bad string of parts.

I think you should be happy that they did it before the pickup, so you will not have any recalls later regarding the blower issues 😊

I had this exact same thing happen, exact same car. They pushed my delivery to next week. Sigh

Yup, happened to me yesterday at the delivery!! I heard the noise while inspecting the car, so I ended up not accepting delivery and have to wait a week for the fix. Sounds like it’s a common issue.

Ours got delayed as well. We were supposed to take delivery on Saturday and got a call on Friday in the same regards to this. Sounds like a production issue, so not sure why it hasn't been addressed yet! We were super bummed and we're anticipating picking it up all week, then they said they aren't sure how long it would take to fix on an ETA.

I agree totally. Def appreciated and glad they were transparent about it. Hope it’s not a long delay.

Same. They told me they would reach out tomorrow but the app says delivery Thursday now. Probably a placeholder so hopefully the delay isn’t too bad

Was told a week. That the parts should be coming in Wed. I’ll send them a note tomorrow or Tuesday to follow up.
