Frunk emergency release

Hey everyone, I heard somewhere that the very newest Model Y no longer have the emergency release inside the frunk. Could someone confirm/deny this for me? And if someone has a new 3 in here, could they also please check. Thanks yall.

Mine does not have the button my other teslas did. Picked it up last week. (Model Y)

They do not. However unless you put your newborn in there no child or adult is fitting in there. Back in the OG microwave frunk days I could fit in there. Even in the MS only a small child could fit in there.

Yeah I was just thinking why would you need an emergency release lol its not fitting a human. Is OP planning on smuggling tiny Mexicans across the border?

Same here. Picked it up in November. No button, no light. 😞

I have two 2026 Tesla Juniper Model Y cars, one purchased in June 2025 and one purchased in February 2026. The earlier Juniper Model Y came with the frunk lighted button but the later one doesn’t have it. This also made a difference when I ordered the after-market power frunk accessory to choose the version without the factory frunk button. That power frunk accessory version comes with a lighted button to install in the frunk.

Didn't even know it was there What's the point? Who will use it from inside the Frunk?

If someone got kidnapped I assume, but idk who could have fit in there. I liked having it there because it gave some light in there when I opened the frunk at night.

Light is definitely useful
