Whats your recommendation on a USB hub for the console?

I see a lot of options with different wattages advertised, but I assume you can only get so much out of the 12v adapter. Whats the best one you have seen? 2026 Model Y Premium AWD.

Read the manual Note Do not connect multiple devices using a USB hub. This can prevent connected devices from charging or from being recognized by Media Player, Sentry Mode, Dashcam, etc.

I think OP is talking about just a charging hub connected to the 12V lighter plug in the center console. No issues with any other devices since that 12V has nothing to do with data or any devices that the car would recognize, it's just a charging conection.

Correct

I got this one for the same model you have. '26 Juniper AWD Premium. It looks built into the car. [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DPG53BMW](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DPG53BMW)

Thanks for that link. Personally, I don't like it. It's hidden and so you still have to open up the console to attach any cables. I guess they are still going for the minimalistic look. And of course its overpriced. lol. I think I will go with one of the third party options so far. I also found a new website to check. Thanks!

12v can give more power than the existing USB-C. The 12v outlets in the car are rated for 12A continuous and 16A peak. That’s 144W continuous. USB-C should still work for charging a few phones but it depends on the specs of the “hub”. If I were you I’d get one that uses 12v because it avoids the many USB-C intricacies (PD, possible data transfer to car, unexpectedly low wattages, etc)

2026? Some of the USB-C ports on it is 65watts. That's plenty fast to emergency rotate charge on devices. Only advantage of the new hub Tesla is selling is the placement of the port. Less chance of USB plugs/ports getting bent. However USB-C right angle adapters are cheap and I've been using those on other cars including the Tesla.

Yeah, I think I will go for a 12v one. Looks like I cant have a shelf placed in that compartment with the hub though. It may interfere with the location.

No, read the manual, it is talking about the other USBs. But whatever your car.

I think you are confused. BTW, Tesla just announced one today that plugs into their own usb port. So I guess that kinda negates what the manual says.

Re: The manual disclaimer, If you are wanting more than a simple 500ma/maybe 1a from a usb port and multi-port, you will want one that handles negotiation of those ports, and it's not gonna be a $15 chineseium hub that does this properly. The tesla one is rated with PD level voltages properly. I'm not saying cheapo ones wont work, but if you want to actually fully power 3 ipad pros with a crappy hub, expect some disappointment. If you want an inverter on the 12v socket, theres a gazillion of those as they are quite standard.
