FSD stopped Just got my first Tesla, a 2026 Tesla Y, three months ago. FSD is amazing. I use it all the time. However, it stopped working. When I tap the wheel to engage it, it doe

When I go into settings and try to put it in self-driving and it still never engages. Does anybody know if I'm doing something wrong? Or do I need to go to Service? I requested service on the app and they are 2 weeks out. Edit: I had to repost this to be able to add the pictures.

Seems like you had the three month free trial

Ok_Cake1283 2026-03-13 14:43

Show your software upgrade page. You have to pay the monthly subscriptions now.

LordFaquaad 2026-03-13 14:45

In the upgrades through the car menu or upgrades (software upgrades) in the Tesla app, do you see FSD in the active section. If it isnt there then you are no longer subscribed to FSD

f2000sa 2026-03-13 14:45

FSD is not free. You need to pay.

Sad-Firefighter9869 2026-03-13 14:47

Congradulations!

JustAcivilian24 2026-03-13 14:49

Time to pay $100 a month baby!

MaikJay 2026-03-13 14:50

Open the app in your phone and check your messages. It’ll let you know if your FSD trial has ended. Then subscribe for FSD in the app as well.

Blue_Kayak 2026-03-13 14:51

Don’t exaggerate. It’s only $99 😉

SE_MI_CT 2026-03-13 14:53

You don't have FSD. You said you subscribed and the subscription starts tomorrow, so wait until tomorrow. That should add an "FSD" option to the right of the "Traffic-Aware Cruise Control" and "Autosteer (Beta)" buttons seen in picture #2, on the Autopilot settings screen.

MuslimStoic 2026-03-13 14:53

108$ with taxes :(

JustAcivilian24 2026-03-13 14:57

Yea I was low balling it too! Haha

MowTin 2026-03-13 14:58

It should be free considering it's still a wip.

Mnm0602 2026-03-13 14:59

$105 for me. Which is especially shitty because there really shouldn't be a tax on services in GA but it must fall into some exception here.

Equivalent-Tell-3732 2026-03-13 15:00

Cancel the service request. You don’t need it. Your FSD free trial ended. Time to drive it like a Normal car or pay $99+ tax for FSD

xXxjayceexXx 2026-03-13 15:04

Florida?

nude_tayne69 2026-03-13 15:07

I’m with you. I would gladly pay for FSD if it was unsupervised.

w1lnx 2026-03-13 15:08

You don’t have FSD. Car >Autopilot >scroll to the top of the page. If you have FSD, the slider would list Autopilot Features: Traffic Aware Cruise Control, Autosteer (Beta), and FSD. If FSD isn’t listed as an option on that slider, you haven’t FSD. Your three month free trial likely expired.

cherrytoffee 2026-03-13 15:09

Tesla owners are not the brightest people in the world are they?

junz415 2026-03-13 15:13

you just have done the free FSD trail and its time to pay if u still need it

CowboysFTWs 2026-03-13 15:16

Don't forget to pre-lube!

Major-Ad-2034 2026-03-13 15:17

Pay for it now!

Hockeyshot39 2026-03-13 15:28

I’ll say it again - I can’t believe some of the questions adults ask. Does no one have common sense or learn about their products anymore?

Usual-Ad-5028 2026-03-13 15:32

Congratulation first of all. I'm saving for one so I can only imagine your happiness. Now, come on mate, haven't you seen any notifacion on the app, on the car, on your email? How do you go through life? You don't even know what you bought... 😂😂😂 No hate here only a funny analysis of your situation.

ForeAmigo 2026-03-13 16:15

Wild that somebody would buy a Tesla not knowing you have to pay for FSD 😂

harda_toenail 2026-03-13 16:15

Good thing you can choose to not use it. Many use it and don’t want to go without it. My wife has to have it.

Hockeyshot39 2026-03-13 16:15

I just don’t understand adults in these subs - no one does any research

LightxDarkness93 2026-03-13 16:40

Your free trial have expired

Realistic-Cell5758 2026-03-13 16:53

I did. And signed up for it, and got a few more months for referrals.

Realistic-Cell5758 2026-03-13 16:58

Wild that you cannot read the conversations going on here where I explain that it is paid for, trial is not over till tomorrow, this has been happening for a week, and I have over 6 months of free FSD from referrals.

Realistic-Cell5758 2026-03-13 16:59

Neither are people who post without reading everything first.

Realistic-Cell5758 2026-03-13 17:13

This was the fix, thank you! It unsubscribed me 5 days before the 3 month trial expiration date for some reason, even though I subscribed to it to pay for it whenmy trial ended, and had a few extra months from referrals. But swiping it again on my screen fixed it. Thank you. And thank you to everyone else who tried helping & was was polite. Not sure why there's so many catty and bitter people responding with negative comments.

MowTin 2026-03-13 23:33

And if Tesla took responsibility for accidents caused by FSD.

MowTin 2026-03-13 23:35

That doesn't change the fact that it's still a work in progress. We're paying to be beta testers and we're taking on all the liability. It's a raw deal. The money we pay should at least goes towards covering accidents that are 100% FSDs fault. I pay for it because I'm into cool tech stuff but it's not worth $100 / month if it's supervised. If I could sleep while it drives then it certainly would be worth it.
