Did you order when it said “order by march 31” or when it said “take delivery by march 31”? They changed it but are honoring whatever it said when you ordered.

It was a few days after they changed it, thanks

Considering picking up on lot inventory built Jan 14/15, can anyone tell me why I shouldn’t

What are you switching from?
I went from 23P to 26AWD and the refresh is amazing. So much smoother.
That being said I was in same spot as you (white model Y P on order) and just kept refreshing new inventory and was able to get a Cybertruck that was in transit to my local pickup center. They said it will be there by March 28.

I got an inventory one. Didn't want to risk it and found the one I wanted close by.

Switching from a 22P, will just keep refreshing too and see how things play out

I didn’t have FSD to transfer but my Performance EDD was May/June after already waiting 6 weeks..`I chose not to wait any longer.Found my configuration in a Premium inventory car. Switched my order to that car on Tuesday. Picked it up today (Thursday). So glad to be done with that roller coaster.

Just initiate the transfer from your current vehicle to your reservation before March 31st, or you likely won't be able to complete a FREE FSD transfer. I did it; I'm going to take delivery before the end of the month. If there are delays at Tesla and my vehicle doesn't arrive, I'm not concerned because the transfer was already initiated.

It might. But what if it doesn't?

Then you can rent it from Tesla?

Do you have an official reference to this and what the exact date was?

Was thinking this as well, seems probable they'll flip flop on it once again.

Damn why eat almost 50k in depreciation after 4 years? Keep your current car until it breaks

Get the AWD premium!

AWD premium to get the FSD transfer on time. You can buy acceleration boost to shave off half a second.

I appreciate your predicament as I was in the exact same situation as you. I ended up test driving the AWD Premium and was happy with it, so decided to pick one up in inventory that had the color combination I liked, and I get it tomorrow!
That being said, you have to do what works for you. If I didn’t do the FSD transfer, I was going to hang on to my current 3 and wait for a year+ for HW/AI5. Will FSD transfer come back again, maybe, but who knows!

Why buy a performance just to let it drive itself? Seems counterintuitive. If you want to drive the car buy the performance, if you want the car to drive itself get the FSD premium

Get the premium with FSD. I have the performance. It’s nice, but I would def take FSD over the minor upgrades on the performance.

I opted to get a premium from inventory instead. I’ll get a P used in the future with AI5 and without eating the depreciation.
Sucks because I was looking forward to the MYP, but now we have a roadtrip king with FSD in the form of a Premium RWD.

Full Self-Driving (Supervised) Transfer Program
For a limited time, customers who take delivery of a new Tesla vehicle by March 31, 2026 may qualify for transferring Full Self-Driving (FSD) (Supervised) from their current vehicle to their new vehicle.
If you transfer Full Self-Driving (Supervised) from your current vehicle to your new vehicle, only your new vehicle will have access to FSD (Supervised). If you would like to have Full Self-Driving (Supervised) features on both your current vehicle and your new vehicle, you can simply subscribe to FSD (Supervised) for your new vehicle without participating in this program.

> They changed it but are honoring whatever it said when you ordered.
This is what needs to be cited.

Yes, thank you. I’m aware of that as I was impacted. What hasn’t been cited yet is the claim that they’ll honor the “order by March 31”.

Bigger screen and black headliner are the only differences of the more updated juniper. If that inventory model has that then there’s no difference

Get the Premium, transfer FSD and buy the performance boost.
