Planning to buy a used 2026 MY

Future-Classroom8774 | 2026-03-12 22:38 | 6 views

Hi folks, I've been wanting to get a Tesla. Few months ago I posted about buying a old version vs juniper refresh MY and many advised getting the juniper. I made up my mind to get a refreshed version. Found a 2026 MYLR on carvana for 45k with 10k miles on it. I will be trading in my GV70. Is this a decent price? Also please lmk any caveats or things I need to make sure when buying from carvana or carmax.

No. Buy new. Better interest rate.

New one is 53k and Tesla is giving 4k less tradein value. So its a net 12k difference.

What's the total after interest is added to each? 10k miles in maybe 6 months would be a yikes from me dawg. Wouldn't pay anything over 40 for that but also just wouldn't bother. You guys in the US are getting 0.99% interest on new vehicles. I'd bet that at the end after you calculate interest it comes out to the same price for way less value in the used.

Trade in to CarMax, not Tesla

If I tradein at the same dealer where I buy the car, the value is applied towards the new car which reduces the tax by $2500

Not sure if you can do this or not but I privately sold my truck for more than any dealer was going to give me (it was paid off). Some times price of mind is nice on a new car. How many times was the car beaten up before you got it? Just my .02.

You need to calculate the monthy payments with the different interest rates. 0.99% is very good, used will probably be 5-6% or so.

Yup… op needs to math it out.

Agree. My main concern is they removed auto steer in the new ones. Right?

I wouldn’t have bought a Tesla without FSD. The $99 a month is fine with me. The autopilot is of no use to me. People on Reddit like to complain.
