Tesla outlet adapter for non-performance?

Has anyone with the new model Y performance tried using the Tesla outlet adapter on a non performance? It says "currently" only available for cyber truck and performance but do you think or know if it will work still? Or if it's a good idea to just buy one now because soon maybe in a software update they will allow non-performance? I really want to use it for when I go camping

The OEM one the uses the onboard inverter and mobile connector, which won’t work with non performance Y yet. In the Future who knows but performance owners are reporting it isn’t successfully delivering anywhere near advertised amounts of power. I think they’re only having luck with 500W instead of the advertised 2kw? I may have the numbers wrong. There are third party CCS-based NACs inverters that use DC from the cars HV battery and invert the power in the standalone unit but they’re more costly, may void warranty, and via software update Tesla may be able to render it useless. How much power do you need? Check the limits of the 12V to see if that’s all you need via inverter.

Yeah I was looking at inverters but to run my electric grill it says I need 1200W even my air fryer and water heater doesn't work.. I ended up buying a Jetboil but would be really nice if I could plug in an electric grill or air fryer that would be life-changing when I'm out camping, could air fry some chicken and fries while I fish 🤣

I would reccomend something like an Anker Solix for this purpose. You can charge off the 12v outlet, and it can have 800wh+ to buffer, handle a bunch of outlets, 100+30w USB-C, etc. Then you can move it to a picnic table and stuff too.

Oh yeah I just saw it on Amazon it looks nice, I was thinking about getting something like that if all else fails
