The Tesla works perfectly fine if they are popping out most likely they’re not seated properly inside the windowsill

I have some that usually stay put but not perfectly and I’m worried they’ll scratch the window :/ came with some 3-4 star Tesla dog hammock on Amazon. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend but if desperate I’ll look it up

OEM Tesla dog cover doesn’t seem to pop out for me. You don’t want to use them if you have tinted windows though

I do have tinted windows. That is why I cannot also pop them in tighter like one of the other commenters mentioned. I had even debated suction cups but once again - tint does not allow for it.

Hi,
I should have added it to my original post but these are still an issue between the dogs putting their paws up, the opening and closing of the doors and that my windows are tinted.
I probably cannot tuck em in as tightly as I would want due to the tint mainly.

Yeah. I'm worried about the window tint too.

should feel a click or have some indication they are in secure I have tint as well. But can’t help what the dogs may do I guess.

Clicking does happen. Does not stay put. I have asked tesla in the past as well and they just told me to press it in harder which is what makes me worried about damaging the tint.

Mine are pushed in all the way but if you’re worried about it then there are dog hammocks that have zip up sides that don’t touch the door

Appreciate it but those sadly do not work. They just fold over from their movement. In my old car those worked because they had ceiling clips, but model y has no ceiling areas to clip those to.
Thank you though.

[just for reference here’s what mine looks like.](https://imgur.com/a/H5PfrhN) they stay in but if it does for whatever reason scuff the tint in the future then I’d prefer that over replacing a door panel for cosmetic issues. but it’s just me and my dog so you may have scenarios where you need to remove them often.

You have different door protectors than I do I think. Mine are felt. Maybe an older model of the tesla door protectors?
Do you trust those hooks to support the weight? I got two 30lb dogs and I worry about those snapping off honestly.

Mine are suede they are the only ones that Tesla sells I got my vehicle a little over a year ago. You’re in a decision paralysis. At this point you see what is out there and nothing is going to be perfect.

My 85 pound dog is chill so hard to say what will work for you. You just gotta try something and find out.

I explained in my original post by saying I'm looking for alternatives.
I was willing to go down this rabbit hole because you stood by those products.
Thank you though.

You want to have dogs *and* nice things?! Sounds like a tough combination!
