I stayed on that fence through a Y dual motor LR, then a Y performance. We now have an X Plaid and I can finally say it’s fast enough lol.

I just went from an LR AWD Y ‘23 (with acceleration boost no less) to a Premium RWD ‘26 Y — it’s fast enough.

Black is nice but for some reason I also really dig the white. Something about white just says Tesla to me lol

sorry haha. to be fair I have a very short commute, so i'm not looking for 'fuel economy' I want zoom-zoom. the efficiency gain from a RWD is really nice though if you need it

Just picked up a '26 Y Premium RWD, coming from a '21 Y Long Range AWD with AccelBoost. I have decided confidently that it's still plenty fast enough for my liking. It doesn't have the same punch, but it's still plenty quick.

Yeah I didn’t go into detail but it’s definitely more than the looks. The drive is incredibly smooth. The interior is absolutely incredible. I love the lighting and the absolutely insane sound system. The whole thing is an experience. Like I’ve seen others say when getting their first Tesla it’s almost overwhelming. There’s so much to like. I’m sure in a week I’ll be ranting about the screen in the back and what it can do.

I test drove the white but went with silver. The white is nice but I see so many of the last gen in white. Maybe that was a free color at one point?

why? i've owned mine for a few months and havent had to spend anything. the car is nearly perfect (except for the fact that it doesnt catch liquid coming off the windshield on the drivers side???)

I think most people will want some accessories like the little trays for the center console, sun shade for top, floormats. I personally prefer they keep the cost lower and let me buy these things on the aftermarket on the cheap. Most people also don’t realize all the carpeting helps lower the interior sound immensely before they cover them with hard mats. From my research this is definitely the best car for the price on the market. The only complaints i have are pretty minor honestly: - windshield wipers go off randomly (new camera area cleaning mode is useful though) - removal of EAP and autosteer - damn I’m forgetting one, but theres so few 😅 - paint being easy to scratch because water based

I agree. This is the first ever car I have not bought floormats for. I love kicking off my shoes and feeling my feet on the soft carpeted mats. It really does insulate the sound so much better. Everything about the wipers could be improved.. the pressure of the wipers, the options of speeds, the auto function with FSD. I do agree it really is the best car on the market for the money. I rode in a friends Mercedes S class and every feature he showed me on his nearly 200k car, I have in my tesla. And his mercedes can't drive itself, so...

I mean’t for accessories… I should have clarified 🤣 I spent $470 on tints, front & windscreen and like another $120 on small stuff like storage organizer trays, matte screen protector and a cover for the pan glass roof since I’m in LA and well… right now, we’re looking at 90+ for the next two weeks 🤣

I’m literally getting ceramic tint right now haha. Going back later to get the ceramic coating. I’m in Florida so I don’t want this thing to bake too much 😂

Yeah I’m actually a huge car guy and got my First Tesla/EV 8months ago. It’s a very strange feeling, I have no desire to own or learn about any other car anymore as they all seem to pale in comparison to this new Juniper. Im sure the highland is good too but I need the extra space. Ive been in many $100k+ cars an while some materials and finish are nicer nothing beats Teslas tech integration, even before you factor in FSD (which i use about 80% of my drives and have over 7k miles on). Even the 2026 Model X loaner I got for a few days i wanted to have my Juniper back within about 30 minutes. It had so many rattles and other little things I didn’t care for. For a car that costs more than 2x as much, I get why they are killing it off. I think a bigger style SUV would still sell great but they have to make it more affordable in the $50-60k range.

I wanted the white interior but not the constant cleaning that comes with it. And mine is definitely a "working" vehicle that will carry a lot of heavy gear, sometimes dusty, plus I have dogs. I got black and plan on getting some white seat covers which I don't have to worry too much about like I would the actual seats.

Yeah it doesn’t make sense on your situation, but it’s basically me using the car in my case and I don’t use more than going somewhere not carrying extra that might get it dirty. Oh well, black is still good.
