Front License plate?

Im not putting one on, id rather pay the fine if I get stopped by police

They look pretty gross imo.  And just to be clear though, the Tesla front plate holder is adhesive and not drilled on. You can also consider a tow hook or the front grille mount ones that are more easily removable.

Mine came with adhesive but I haven't put it on yet. The Tesla store just stuck it inside the trunk and let me know that most people put it on after they get their permanent tag. I'm still running on my temporary tag. I might not even put it on. Not sure yet. I don't know if it's just a fix-it ticket or a moving violation that comes with points on my license.

I don't like them as the front of the Y is curved, guy near me has one. But they hold up very well.

I used the Tesla-included license plate holder with the included 3M VHB adhesive strips. No drilling into the car. It is quite firmly attached still after 6 months. In my experience, front plate or not, you will still get pulled over for not having a front plate installed.

Been driving without a front plate for over 5 years.  Told myself I'd get one that attaches to the front when I get pulled over.  Still waiting for that day....

They haves ones where you can mount on the front grill instead of sticking it in the bumper no drills involved.

Not one Model Y front plate mount requires drilling into the bumper, including the free included one.

Always had one (removable one). After I forgot to remove it while going through an automated car wash, it got destroyed by one of the front brushes. A few months later, got pulled over by CHP. The cop said they have been cracking down on vehicles without front license plates. I explained him my situation and he let me go with a warning. I got another Quick Bandit style from Amazon. Didn’t want the hassle of getting pulled over (especially I had tinted front windows and windshield).

Drive around at 1:00AM in a small town in your state where the cops are really bored and your waiting will be over!

It's a secondary offense here.  Unless I'm driving like an idiot there is no reason to pull me over for anything to begin with.

100% this. Thankfully my current state does not have front plates but my last one did. However. It was a simply $50 equipment violation that I would happily pay. Never got stopped though for no front plates

2019m3 with 100k km still holding up. My plate holder came with the car.

I got a ticket in a few weeks ago for no front plate (added it onto to an HOV violation, which was 100% my fault). I purchased the sticker plate, put it on with some PPF backing. Went to the nearest PD had them sign off on the ticket. After the officer walked away, I peeled off the front plate. It looked gross and hideous + I had a bunch of bubbles that I could not get out nor did I put any real effort into correcting.

Ya'll are weird, just put the damn plate on so you don't have to deal with cops.

I put it on too and it's not going anywhere. I was worried about the cheap look of the tape but man, it's strong and hell!

FWIW, the front plate on my other car is bolted into the tow-hook receiver. No adhesive, no drilling required. Easily removed and reinstalled in minutes.

Luckily Utah doesn't require you to have a front plate

2018 model 3, no issues. I just put the bracket on my new y last weekend.

I live in NJ and I haven't put it on since the first MY that we bought \~5 years back. Got pulled over in NY for that and the cop gave me a ticket for not having an emission ticket. Lol

In Wisconsin it’s the law, but they can’t pull you over for not having one unless you violate another traffic violation first. Since 22 I haven’t used one.

Tesla person put on my wife’s at delivery, at her request. 22k miles in, still looks good and fine.
