Thats literally first world problems. It’s not like you’re going back to a horse and a buggy or back to walking. You are literally going back to another metal box, albeit powered by dinosaur juice, but a box that’ll take you anywhere you want. That box may not be as shiny but you still get modern amenities like AC, power steering, radio, etc. You’ll be fine. Don’t stretch yourself too thin for a shiny new metal box powered by electricity. You’ll get there. Save up for more time, the Model Y Performance will still be there. It’s not like they’re discontinuing it.

Def first world problems lol. I can afford to get it now, if I wanted to finance the whole thing, but I’m just so used not having a car note (note free for 10 years), the idea of having a $800+ care payment + insurance is crazy to me despite being able to afford it. It may not make complete sense but I’d rather just put a significant portion down.

Just buy a used one Tesla has them as cheap as $22k

Have you considered a pre-owned Tesla instead? It'll save you the depreciating amount if you can find one you like.
I actually like the Nissan Rogue. I usually rent these when I have to fly on business. No, they don't touch my MYLR, but do use a lot less fuel than other options. 2011 is getting a bit old, though.

Not really, oddly enough I never really liked the model Y until the recent redesign. They absolutely killed it for my sensibilities and preferences in design. So a used one isn’t really an option, and the used 2026 MYP haven’t hit the market yet lol. I don’t care too much about the depreciation, I don’t plan on reselling anytime soon.

I don’t like the older design of the Y

I get it. Your logic makes sense. I actually prefer the interior of the new model Y's, but the exterior of my 2023. Go figure.

Ask for multiple test drives. I ended up test driving 4, 48-hour drives with an order placed. :D

2019 Rogue Sport S to a 2026 Model Y, it has been incredible! Hope you can get yourself one!

The difference is worth 20k to you? Older Y is fine and actually has some better qualities than the new one such as a physical stalk for drive/reverse/park, many people say the older Y has comfier seats

It’s is. I don’t like the old front end design, it reminded me of a beluga whale head. I don’t NEED a new car my 2011 rogue probably has another 80-100k miles in it, but if I’m going to get one, it won’t be the old one.

Haha, yeah everyone’s taste is different. I remember ppl not liking the new design when it was first showcased.

I'll admit that the newer front-end design has grown on me a bit, but I can't get used to the back end. Maybe I just need time.
