How did I do?

Unclemilty76 | 2026-03-09 22:14 | 8 views

I picked up a 2023 Model Y LR AWD with 53k miles and HW4 for 27k. Clean all around, only a mark on the trunk from probably hitting a garage door. My first Tesla!

27k OTD? Where?

27k plus tax and fees but a local Honda dealership. One owner. Looks to be well cared for.

Around $30k seems to be the going cost OTD for a 23 with HW4

Did you try asking if it was a local trade in or a wholesale purchase to resell? I know the Honda dealership could tell you anything as an answer but you could try anyway. You never know what you might be able to learn if you don't ask. I wish Tesla had a means that would allow the owner to track charging somewhat like tracking Trip Mileage. That way we might be able to get an idea how the battery was treated.

Between the CARFAX and a company name I found in the car, it’s shows me that it was a company car for a large pharma company that gives EVs to employees for work use. This one was serviced at the local (to them) Tesla dealer and sold at auction at 50k. That’s how the dealership got it and it was on the lot for 2mo. It seems to have been cared for.

Oh, good one! The sort of people that are assigned company cars are typically responsible and highly intelligent, hard working individuals that likely will not abuse the company car vehicle reward. Also the dent you mentioned on the top of the trunk might indicate it was garaged when not being used. # You did good!

You know what… my first thought was garage door but didn’t even consider that, oh yeah, that’s good it’s been garaged. First week and I love it!
