I had an NX prior to going to my '22 M3LR and would never go back. I don't think/feel that Lexus can hold a candle to Tesla at point, EV wise.

2008NightrodSpecial 2026-03-09 17:12

Get your charger setup and it’ll be the best decision you’ve ever made. Tons of creature comforts, supercharger network is always reliable, and to be frank, the car does an incredible job at being an electric car (surprise surprise, it’s not a VW, Ford, anything other brand of EV) My fiancee and I don’t even drive her car any longer outside of her work commute due to the convenience of always having a topped off battery

ddgray86 2026-03-09 17:14

I have a 2023 MYP and am waiting to take delivery of a 2026 MYP. You will regret nothing. Don’t get the Lexus. This is the best car ever, and you’ll love absolutely every minute of owning it. Cheers!

Voooow 2026-03-09 17:14

I live in a town house can I get my charger?

LexusRC 2026-03-09 17:15

From what I heard, poor range on the Lexus so this is a great choice.

JIsADev 2026-03-09 17:17

I bought a used model Y not too long ago and put about 2k miles and did a 600 mile road trip already. All I will say is that I will never drive an ICE vehicle again. My regret is not getting one sooner

keaolyen 2026-03-09 17:21

None. My wife and I both have Model Y's now and couldn't be happier.

fastoid 2026-03-09 17:22

Comfort and assembly quality wise Lexus is really hard to beat. Technology wise and EV refinement wise Tesla is way ahead of everyone. I came to a MY from ES (my wife still drives it) at first it felt like a disappointment, but as you know, technology on lexuses is anemic. Tesla blowed my mind when I started noticing all Tesla can do and actually read every software update. Here's another thread discussing all the features Tesla software allows. They are each small in isolation, but when all of them are around, it takes the enjoyment to another level. I still hop sometimes on Lexus. It's nice, but feels dumb to me. https://www.reddit.com/r/TeslaModelY/s/vLvHqLORI3

kokobunji0550 2026-03-09 17:27

Ya my only regret is that I didn't get a model y sooner.

hookem419 2026-03-09 17:27

Went from leaf -bolt-20 model 3 , 26 model y lr. Getting this car has been the best decision I’ve ever made as far as Safety , updates , fast charging , lvl 2 at home charging. You can’t find a better option

No-Trust1779 2026-03-09 17:28

I regret I didn’t get it sooner. With high gas prices about to hit us, never been happier to own not one, but two EV’s!

parkpassgoaway 2026-03-09 17:29

None. Almost 500 miles in. Trying not to sound like a maniac when people ask me how much I like it.

zholly4142 2026-03-09 17:39

Yeah, my main regret is that I can't afford a Tesla for both of my kids. LOL

bgross42 2026-03-09 17:40

No Regrets.

ExpiredCoin 2026-03-09 17:40

When i was considering the RZ, the dealership offered me a loaner if I had an out of town trip over 100 miles.

TruRace 2026-03-09 17:47

I'm on my 2nd MY. Had a 2023 MYLR and now a 26MYP. I had my complaints with my first one, mainly interior noise (rattles, clunks, etc), but I lived with it. When the juniper came around, I had high hopes those issues would be resolved, but when I picked up my 26MYP I was really disappointed. My current MY has a whole different set of interior rattles/noises that drive me crazy. I just had my 2nd row seat replaced by Telsa for a constant rattle coming from the rear seat. When I go over bumps the car sounds like a rattle can. This'll likely be my last Tesla unfortunately. I know for some people they are solid but in my experience from the ones I've owned and some loaners I've driven from Telsa, these cars are just not put together well.

iamsuprdave 2026-03-09 17:49

So I got my model Y in 2021 and then was on the market to “upgrade” to a non Tesla car. So I made a reservation for another 2026 model Y. I realize this is the only brand that gets better the moment you drive it out of the dealership lot.

Unltd8828 2026-03-09 17:49

Was going to get a Lexus and stay with what I’m familiar with - the Toyota family. But after test driving a Model Y, I’m not even thinking about Lexus anymore.

StormTrpr66 2026-03-09 17:50

Yes, one HUGE regret. Not getting one sooner. Seriously, I'm only 10 days into it, already have 550 miles on it, so not a lot of time and still learning all the ins and outs of it, but I can't imagine ever going back. For reference, I traded in a fully loaded 2023 Rav4 Prime that I was pretty happy with. Before considering the Tesla I looked into a Lexus RX 450h+ but other than being slightly more luxe, the RX didn't really do anything different than the Rav4. The Tesla's full self-driving is what sold me on it. I have a 70 to 75-mile per day round trip commute, usually an hour one way, up to 90 minutes the other way, in some cases it has taken me literally 4 hours to drive 35 miles home, and I really wanted something that would reduce my traffic-related stress. FSD has done that. I can now relax on my drive. On the plus side, not having gotten one sooner meant that I was able to get the current Juniper refresh so that makes me feel a little better about having waited. Also keep in mind when considering EVs in general, at this point in time there is not one single car in the US, ev or otherwise, that has anything even remotely close to Tesla's FSD. I still have zero interest in other EVs. On the flip side, to play devil's advocate, Lexus' reliability and customer service is second to none, but as far as the technology itself, Lexus is way behind Tesla when it comes to EVs.

Background-House9795 2026-03-09 17:50

Bought a 2020 MYLR last month. Love it! Put in a Tesla level 2 wall connector. I have it programmed to start whenever it wants to, and finish up 15 minutes before I leave for work. Slowly starting to collect things to make it easier to clean, like floor mats and a trash can. Trunk mats are on order. Might *have to* order a small rear spoiler to cover up some paint damage at the rear lip.

Mundane_Engineer_550 2026-03-09 17:53

I've had mine almost a year, and still love every second of it and even still look back at it going in the store 🤣, it's like having your own personal self driving robot, and FSD + my mind watching the roads they're literally isn't another way safer to travel, and it's only gotten better with software updates

LightxDarkness93 2026-03-09 17:55

yes. not getting it sooner

JetBlackToasty 2026-03-09 17:57

I do. I wish I got the silver color. And make sure to get the white interior, it's surprisingly easy to clean

TheBowerbird 2026-03-09 18:00

This thing is light years beyond any Lexus and is extremely well built. I've driven 3 of the new MYP and they are wonderful. Very refined and with US industry best infotainment and ADAS (Rivian is coming up in the rear view mirror though).

Chief-Cheeks1234 2026-03-09 18:00

As someone who just took delivery on their new Model Y last Friday… and has felt nothing but pure bliss every time I get behind the wheel… all I can say is: DO IT!!!

HugeRegion 2026-03-09 18:03

Not one

Capital_Elderberry28 2026-03-09 18:03

Nope 26 MY is the best car I’ve ever owned

Krioyo_custom 2026-03-09 18:11

Although I love Lexus, it feels like they are the new kids on the block EV wise. Maybe service wise they are better though.

kamdon68 2026-03-09 18:14

Picking mine up on Friday. Very excided after I did the test drive.

BigAssMonkey 2026-03-09 18:23

We have both a Lexus and a Model Y. Lexus interior and suspension is better. That’s it though. Functionally, I prefer the Model Y in all other aspects. Stuff like Autosteer and the phone app are game changers that can’t be beat.

Swampassed 2026-03-09 18:25

Five years in a it’s a big nope! Gas prices? I didn’t notice they were up.

bigmacher1980 2026-03-09 18:28

Nope. ‘22 MYLR.

IWishIWereRiding 2026-03-09 18:34

None whatsoever. I just took delivery of my new Model Y, and I couldn't be happier. I bought it after driving my dad's Model Y for the past few months when we rode together, and I'm still amazed at what a nice ride it is.

Admirable-Eye2709 2026-03-09 18:42

Get home charging installed and it will relieve any range/charge anxiety. I have zero regrets with my 2024 MYP.

T1fornow 2026-03-09 18:47

Ordered the black my wife felt it the better choice, i did get the performance I wanted so giving her the color choices was a no brainer!

royalooozooo 2026-03-09 18:49

Not loving the fact that spare tires aren’t included on Teslas. I would also prefer a non glass roof. Other than that superb in every way.

UFO_Tofu1973 2026-03-09 18:50

My 26 MYP is amazing! I traded in a 26 MY Premium and I’m glad I did.

saviorsreign 2026-03-09 18:54

I had my charger installed about a week before pickup. Was amazing coming home and plugging in and that was it.

Balancedone_1 2026-03-09 19:03

Came from Infiniti and it was the same.

auto8ot 2026-03-09 19:03

Drove past the gas station and saw 5.80 - 6.10 for gas when I charged at work for free. Still pretty satisfying.

Plane_Arachnid6182 2026-03-09 19:04

Ew an RZ no, model y is far superior.

StormTrpr66 2026-03-09 19:10

They do make covers for the glass roof you can put inside that fit perfectly, unless the issue is having the outer roof being glass. I can't imagine it would be all that great in a hail storm. Where I am we get hail maybe once every two years or so and it's usually during the day when I'm parked outside at work. At home I park in a garage. We have a parking garage at work but it's about a 3 block walk from it to my office. Might be worth it on days where the weather is bad.

Solarado 2026-03-09 19:12

Do you use the same brand of cell phone that you had in 1995? The same computer? This Model Y is gorgeous, and is an extraordinary EV from the ground up. You are making the right choice. Enjoy!

JetBlackToasty 2026-03-09 19:14

Honestly if you can go on a tesla showroom and check it out in person it might change her mind. And don't go with lexus, just having access to the tesla supercharger network makes tesla vehicles the best evs.

OneManWolfPack0 2026-03-09 19:18

I regret my loan terms, the car itself is great though.

ComoEstanBitches 2026-03-09 19:20

Oof yeah if she’s used to and comparing to a Lexus there’s an expectation of plush and comfort that the Y cannot match but instead overcompensates in drivability and tech. Hopefully you two saved enough money to have a his and her car situation

Paythapiper 2026-03-09 19:24

Toyotas are boring. Teslas are not. You are about to hate gas cars in a month

Snow3322 2026-03-09 19:31

Probably just the rattles and creaks and overall build quality otherwise it’s great.

collegedreads 2026-03-09 19:47

I have this exact build. It’s marvelous. I don’t think I’ve ever felt such joy from an inanimate object. The new build quality is leagues over what Tesla put out 5 years ago.

Ornery_Climate1056 2026-03-09 20:10

The only regret was not having the budget to get two MYJs!!

venechiaboy 2026-03-09 20:36

Nope no regrets what so ever but sometime I miss engine sound but that’s about it

Opening-Option3787 2026-03-09 20:53

Nope, have mine going on 2 years and still love it. You’ll love it even more with the current price of oil.

1nolefan 2026-03-09 21:05

I do have the same color, but front suspension is a shit, noisy at the slow speed over potholes.... Love the car and everything about it except the clanky suspension. I would still buy again knowing shit suspension.

apurrfectplace 2026-03-09 21:05

No, I love it. Came from an Acura MDX and Toyota Rav

Own-Island4676 2026-03-09 21:29

My only regret is not buying one sooner, best car ever owned in 50 years of driving

Brilliant_Banana_762 2026-03-09 21:41

You will not regret as Tesla has FSD and is superior

FInding__Peace 2026-03-09 21:50

I did the exact same thing, my 2016 NX just had an engine failure and replaced with a Model Y.

CaptCarlos 2026-03-09 21:54

RZs look atrocious and have shit range lol

brndn02 2026-03-09 22:02

had a range rover, got a model Y, crashed the Y, got another Y, got my wife a Y. No desire to look at anything else

StormyWardik 2026-03-09 22:06

2 complaints... the small seat shift and the horizontal lines on the windshield with the xpel xr plus tint.

Electrical-Chef-8228 2026-03-09 22:15

I adore mine. No regrets. It makes my life so much easier/more convenient.

Inevitable_Smoke9845 2026-03-09 22:42

Absolutely no regrets. Took it from CT to CA in December . Loved every minute of the drive!

GreedyMeet1273 2026-03-09 22:51

Welcome to the MYP club 🚗💨

ExtremeValuable4647 2026-03-09 22:53

Only concern I am having is I am hearing some rattling noise. I have 26’ Y model. Got it last July 2025. Worried about it getting worse over the years. I want to keep this car for at least 10 years. I even have been thinking of trading it in for the new Rivian.

carboz86 2026-03-09 23:36

65,000kms (40389.13miles) in, no regrets. Multiple 2400km return trips in Australia from Canberra to Gold Coast.

AccomplishedLocal516 2026-03-09 23:36

No regerts. We travel a lot from Feb to May and FSD has been a life changing experience. Every trip has been less stressful and much much easier. I came from an early AP car and I couldn't be any happier. Our last 5 hr trip was full FSD and I could of drove even more. Definitely no regerts.

Jerolamo 2026-03-09 23:40

Make a review.

Jugga94 2026-03-09 23:45

Wife had a NX. I hated it cause it was too small. We loved her new 26 model Y premium so. Much I bought a used 24 Y for my job

yomomma005 2026-03-09 23:48

No regerts for me

SteveLangfordsCock 2026-03-10 00:14

no ragrets

Jmauld 2026-03-10 00:17

yes. I should’ve got the performance model.

Intheknow636 2026-03-10 00:34

I bought this car 6 weeks ago. I miss the car when I am traveling. I just want to sit in it and find random drives just to drive it. I don’t know anything about Lexus rz. Stick to your decision no “Ragrets” https://share.google/yst6gTnsXScGuDwAd

LegitimateCulture 2026-03-10 00:49

But you can, there are tons of 2023+ model 3 for less than $20k

N1NJAHER0 2026-03-10 00:51

I regret not doing it sooner. Does that count?

Dizzzzzzi 2026-03-10 01:01

We came from a family of all sorts of luxury vehicles, all size and sorts. This is an excellent premium vehicle that will do 99% of everything you will need and want. That 1% is reserved for all future features that Tesla will invent in the future. It’s an excellent car.

310KN 2026-03-10 01:53

will more than likely be the quickest car you've driven off the line, but if you like that lexus comfort, you may not dig it. gl!

markn6262 2026-03-10 02:08

So upgrade the suspension.

sherlocknoir 2026-03-10 02:08

You are going to love it. IMO the 2026 MYP is best vehicle Tesla currently makes.. primarily because it’s a combination of their latest & greatest tech, with what is by far their most popular vehicle. The S & X are twice as expensive, but nowhere near close to twice as good. The Cybertruck is cool, but incredibly polarizing styling with questionable reliability. And the 3 is fun, but small and has a trunk. The Y checks off the most boxes, for the most people and at an extremely competitive price.. which exactly why it’s the worlds best selling vehicle regardless of drivetrain. The MYP gives you best experience the Y currently has to offer.

AgentArnold 2026-03-10 02:17

My 1 regret is that I purchased too soon. I should have waited for all those crazy price drops first

regmeyster 2026-03-10 02:30

I bought my 24 MYP last April and even today I still get excited when I drive it. I make excuses to run errands....lol. I've been on several roadtrips up and down Cailfornia. I dont know if ill ever get an ICE car again.

jackstar2l 2026-03-10 02:42

The updates are insane. Now have Grock that can find anything and also has storyteller and therapist mode. Was able to inform me about services I hadn't even heard of in Australia and I've lived here since I was a child. Love everything about my Model Y. I have the performance model and the handling is fantastic

drdonger60 2026-03-10 02:45

Tesla is a better car. Newer Lexus engines aren’t as reliable. My buddy’s wife just traded in her NX for a Tesla and loves it. Biggest luxury in the automotive world is FSD.

1nolefan 2026-03-10 02:49

You don't know or haven't heard the clanking noise on most Model Y Juniper - there are posts on thousands of posts about it on Teslamotorclub.com

Academic-Gas-8012 2026-03-10 03:15

I made my deposit and it said I could get a delivery date within 5 weeks. I got my car in two weeks. So far I’m loving it. No regrets!

taasbaba 2026-03-10 03:47

I regret not getting one earlier. My options was either getting a Tesla Model Y long range AWD or a Lexus NX350h. Tesla won, all it took was a test drive. I floored the pedal and I regressed to a kid having my first car ride. They then told me to try the autopilot, I was transported into the future. I went back and reserved a unit. Told Lexus to eat gas.

commking 2026-03-10 06:31

I've had my model Y for one year now. I sold my diesel BMW, and I loved that car. Absolutely no regrets at all.

dapi331 2026-03-10 07:39

I had one installed in my townhouse's garage. YMMV

dapi331 2026-03-10 07:40

My only regret was not spending more for another color and trim. I didn't expect to like the car so much!!

lifeinthesudolane 2026-03-10 09:38

This is so true. After a Tesla, you really wonder why others can't do the same. The little things make such a marked improvement in the ownership experience. With that said, I still wish Tesla had better build quality. Even the Highland, good as it is, still feels a bit lacking in this respect.

Jerolamo 2026-03-10 09:58

Do you recommend the 14-50 Nema

Nice-Sandwich-9338 2026-03-10 11:04

We own a 23 model y all wheel drive long range 20-in rims and 305 mile range. It's been terrific 37,000 MI and couldn't be more happier. Our 5-year-old Mustang Mach e GT performance is actually a better vehicle. Ford first EV they made sure it had every Ford performance part from their racing bin. It's equipped with Magna ride suspension mass of 17-in rotors Brembo brakes sport seats full glass UV protective roof twin diffusers front and back Quality Parts everywhere. It has control buttons and voice commands and the best stop and go adaptive cruise control with Lane centering even today it's the best. EPA of 260 miles and 150 watt charging for 5 years old is terrific and the Tesla adapter works perfectly every time at superchargers. 480 horsepower 630 ft pounds of torque and super car performance 3.5 seconds to 60 will knock your socks off. Both cars for us at 78 are keepers and both are highly recommended. You pay for the best you get the best.

FragrantProblem7161 2026-03-10 12:37

RZ is a poor man's Lexus. Small and cheap feeling. Get the RX or the MY

BillBittinger 2026-03-10 13:54

Have had the Juniper Performance since December, absolutely love it. Zero issues, love the power, how quiet it is, never getting gas again. Wife loves it as well, she gave up her BMW X3M for it and likes it better!

T1fornow 2026-03-10 15:00

my current ride is an RX my wife drives the ES350h I was looking at the NX350F but took it up a hill and it sounded like a sewing machine. ergo ordered the Y .

StephanPNguyen 2026-03-10 15:16

I got it back in January 23rd living in Iowa MYP all wheel drive love it only charge at home plug into the wall

FragrantProblem7161 2026-03-10 15:19

Bingo.

vinnySTAX 2026-03-10 15:34

I have the exact spec pictured. No regrets whatsoever.

M_1_c_R_a 2026-03-10 15:52

I’m driving 2 years already and every time is a pleasure to drive!! What an amazing car!! I will never go back to regular cars. Only Tesla from now on

markn6262 2026-03-10 16:01

No I haven't seen these posts but has peeked my interest. I am planning on upgrading my '22 with Juniper suspension. I'll have to give more consideration to a Mountain Pass Performance upgrade instead.

BeerBaitIceAmmo 2026-03-10 17:28

I regret not doing it sooner

Jumping_Jackalope3 2026-03-10 17:54

It is by far the coolest thing I’ve ever purchased! I was working from home for 3+ years and never drove very far so I loved driving my old 2000 4Runner, but then I took a new job with a 1+ hour commute and didn’t want to waste money on gas. I paired mine with the FSD and it has been an absolute game changer! The driving experience is unlike anything else even without FSD. My only issue is that I had to have the rear drive inverter replaced because the HVIL (High Voltage Interlock Loop) failed… covered fully by warranty but it was concerning since it only had 2500 miles, was less than a month old and it occurred after using a Supercharger for just the third time.

Environmental_Tip184 2026-03-10 17:56

Regrets!!!! Best car ever. It’s that simple

straightwanker 2026-03-10 18:54

What do you mean an “ICE vehicle “

straightwanker 2026-03-10 18:55

What’s so special about the model Y’s please? I’m about to get a used one .2023

JIsADev 2026-03-10 19:53

Internal combustion engine, gas vehicle basically

ADHD_thumbs 2026-03-10 20:19

I am in the same boat, testing the MYP on Saturday and will hopefully replace the 2023 MYP with a 2026 in August. How did you find the quality between the two of them?

kokobunji0550 2026-03-10 20:26

Imo it fits my life perfectly. It's a good car reliable and I really like the tech.

straightwanker 2026-03-10 20:28

Intriguing, would you say it’ll be smart to get my model Y even if I’m renting a townhouse and can’t get home charger? Would that be smart? Also I live 2.3km away from a supercharger point . Live in Canada. Is that a smart move or….!

kokobunji0550 2026-03-10 20:33

If you could charge at home it would be perfect because it's more convent. Since you live so close to a super charger you could make it work. Just depends on if going to a super charger would be inconvenient to you.

straightwanker 2026-03-10 20:36

Not too inconvenient I’d say considering my landlords a hardie , I’m Jst weighing my options since it’ll be my first time ever driving an EV and the frantic calculation of KM when communting long distance, would you supercharge all the time? For a long duration observation, what effect would it be on the battery and all?. Thanks for responding btw

Sure_Good_1992 2026-03-10 20:41

Zero regret

kokobunji0550 2026-03-10 20:45

I charge at home and don't super charge often. I just plug in when I get home. As for what effect it has in the battery you have to research that. If you drive long distance chances are you will have to charge more often

ddgray86 2026-03-10 23:28

The Juniper is very noticeably of higher quality. All around. The inside is quiet, the ride is insanely gentler, and the FSD is silky smooth. My current MYP even has hardware 4, but the jump to the Juniper was so tangible, I felt like I had to do it. I also love the new seats. Normally I wouldn’t get a new car after 3 years, but between the jump in quality, and trying to do FSD transfer before it’s gone, I couldn’t resist. Delivery date 3/19-31. Can’t wait!

TT603 2026-03-10 23:32

Like a few older folk on this thread, I have owned and driven most everything. This is the best experience of all of them. No brainer and zero regrets. Enjoy and congrats!

Own_Spinach_6375 2026-03-10 23:32

Only regret is not getting PPF. Paint sucks. Other than that is perfect.

Maximum-Pen1880 2026-03-11 00:55

I don't think the Lexus RZ is good only because of the range. The build quality itself is probably better than the Tesla though.

I regret getting the performance model y because of the range. I also got the white interior because i was replacing another model y and wanted to feel like i got a new car. The white is obnoxious.

Prior to my Tesla my cars were: Lexus ES, Lexus RF, Mercedes E, Lexus GS, and Lexus GS (yes loved it twice). I have a late 2024 Model Y. Best car Ive ever owned.

WaffleHouseCEO 2026-03-11 02:31

There is no ev in the market today that is better than its Tesla counterpart. They may have specific advantages over a Tesla that you may value, but the tesla is all around a better ev with better technology.

LetInternational9694 2026-03-11 04:04

Yes…wish I got one earlier😜

lelkan115 2026-03-11 04:36

Zero regrets! Best purchase I ever made!

Prize-Regret-5764 2026-03-11 10:00

Picked up my quicksilver 2026 Y RWD 2weeks ago. My first electric car. Ive had dozens of ice cars over the years but hands down this is my favourite vehicle ever. Having a wall charger at home just makes it 💯

Lazy-Ad-6236 2026-03-11 13:52

What color and trim did you get?

Altruistic-Owl5906 2026-03-11 15:07

I’m very jealous-that’s a beautiful ride. I’ve got 12 more months in my current ev and am looking at that color . Last week driving in my buddies 2026 Y with FSD was the game changer for me. I’ve watched lots of videos and test drove one in 2022. Huge improvements since then. I’ve just gotta get over no buttons 😂.

booboolooloola 2026-03-11 17:20

I'm a self-professed car nut. I love driving. FSD is a game-changer. Many reasons too buy these generations of model Y but FSD was the clearest one for me.

Never

14-50 is kind of a universal option for you, you can plug whatever kind of charger you want into it and you’ll get the benefit of installing a 60amp breaker. I’m using a NEMA 5-20R with a 20amp breaker that’s good for a little less than 2kW, 7-8 miles per hour. It’s perfect for an overnight charge to full, 9pm-7/8am gives me about 23-24% Just make sure you use the right parts or hire an electrician!!

Jerolamo 2026-03-11 23:48

Is there fire hazard or is it exaggerated

blendedme 2026-03-11 23:50

I’m happy with mine, love that I don’t need to stop at gas station in the cold any longer. Every time lights turns green I’m off ahead of anyone else. Did long trip test and wasn’t bad at all (with charging), I think the best part about this car’s FSD, it’s so fantastic, too bad my trial run’s done today😞

2008NightrodSpecial 2026-03-12 00:01

If you’d ask an electrician, they’d probably say yes. They have EV rated ones. That cost difference from the non EV rated outlets to the proper one is so minimal in the grand scheme of things, just pay the difference for peace of mind alone

Ok-Following4811 2026-03-12 02:10

I have 14-50 and it’s been great. Charges 33 mph (model 3), and it’s convenient and cheaper to install than a wall connector

I recently bought a Model Y Performance, delivered in February 2026. Overall I really like the car, but after a month of daily driving in Lisbon I’ve noticed a few things and wanted to check if other owners have had similar experiences. First, the suspension feels extremely stiff for city driving. Lisbon roads are full of potholes, cobblestones and speed bumps, and the car reacts quite harshly to them. On highways or good roads the car feels amazing — very stable and fast — but in the city it can sometimes feel quite rough. Is this typical for the Performance version? I’ve also noticed a few smaller issues: * Parking cameras sometimes show errors in darker environments or when it’s raining, especially when doing several maneuvers in tight spaces. * The automatic wipers often don’t detect light rain properly, so I end up switching to manual. * Twice I had to restart the system from the steering wheel because the radio wouldn’t start. They’re small things, but in a car like this I wasn’t really expecting them after just one month.

Going on 2 years of owning my 2022 MYP and still love it!

RealDriver3604 2026-03-13 01:10

Ya when my battery failed at 62k miles and I learned of the max charge error. 22 model y Advise you to research some about battery failures. If you're only going to keep the car for a few years, not a huge concern.

Current-Movie853 2026-03-13 18:05

24 months into 25 Y premium. No regrets whatsoever. Hard to drive my ICE now.

Current-Movie853 2026-03-13 18:06

14 months, not 24

Action-Odd 2026-03-13 22:16

100% agree. I traded in a 2018 Lexus LC500 for a 2026 Model Y Performance. No buyers remorse on my part, but as you said, they are two different vehicles (in good ways).
