Does a 2023 MY with HW3 when subscribed to FSD have EAP functionality when only Autosteer is selected?

Basically if I subscribe to a month of FSD. But do not turn it on in the settings. And have TACC and Autosteer on. Will I get EAP functions like being able to change lanes without disengaging Autosteer on the highway? And I completely understand if you think this setup is foolish. But saying so does not answer the question.

Does your car have Enhanced Autopilot purchased? If it doesn't, then no. Regular autosteer(with FSD or not) doesn't change lanes. Also, if you're wanting to pay for FSD to switch lanes... then why not just use FSD? lol.

Yes it gets enhanced, so navigate on autopilot, lane changes, etc. I can go take a video in my car if you’d like.

Thanks.  No i did not purchase EAP. Just curious mostly.   The last time I used FSD without the “minimize lane change” feature on the highway I was done with it.  Autosteer works great for my needs.  The only downside is changing lanes.  Not a big deal though.  Might look into installing a Commander module for that.

Don't think a video is necessary unless it operates different than expected.   Yours is HW3 and you did not purchase EAP?

I have a 2020 HW3 performance, FSD subscription, have not purchased anything.

Last I tried in my HW3 with FSD, you can change lanes using the turn stalk. You can even suggest it to make a left or right turn as long as it was early enough and you had a destination. That latter is required to use FSD the 'correct' way. It can't read your mind where you destination is.

That is fine.  I have a month coming up with about 40 hours of highway driving. If I decide to subscribe for that month I’ll certainly test FSD as this is a different version.  But all I really want is Autosteer where I control the speed and it stays in the lane until I want to change lanes. I’ll disengage and drive to navigate when needed.
