Welcome to an awesome car! I said goodbye to my Rav4 Prime a week ago and am not looking back!!
It’ll be hard to ever go back to a gas car.
Why drove the decision to get the standard one instead of a year old premium?
Welcome fellow Redditor and now fellow Tesla owner, congrats, she’s awesome looking.
Current owner of a 22‘ MYP, I drive it everyday like it’s the 1st day and still get excited when I get in every time. About to get a model 3 for my kid going to college. Although looking for a 24’ or 25’ with gas prices out here in Cali going wild, it’s worth it.
There is no Tesla family.
NGL... while we do have a premium, I do like the simple front end on the standard.
slick looking in white
lies
Same here 23MYLR. Hard to get any this else other than a Tesla. It makes driving so much easier and better.
Congrats! I have a test drive planned for this coming week. I am very curious of trying a MY. What did you drive before?
I ordered mine right before the shit hit the fan with gas prices in CA. Luck finally went my way!! Sucks about gas prices in general but I feel like I made the switch to full EV just in time! I charge at home during off-peak hours at .15/kWh. Still a bit more expensive than in a lot of places but a hell of a lot cheaper than gas.
I like the front lights too
Especially if you get solar and batteries. Total game changed
Yep I’ve got both and I have two Teslas. Sucks for everyone here in CA now paying $5 - $6 per gallon.
In Germany we have a 0% Loan Promotion and you get 3000€ off or more by government for most people.
Absolutely, 👍🏽
Shoot Storm, you’re better than Cali rates, I’m at $.32 non peak, still not bad, but they’re going up, yikes 😱
I'm in Cali. Do you have a TOU plan? SDGE has a TOU EV plan, I think it's called TOU 5, and it's the only reason I can afford it. Problem is in the summer, peak hours are over .80/kWh. But between midnight and 6 a.m. it's about .18/kWh in summer and .15/kWh in winter and spring like now.
I love my ‘23 MYP & my husband has a ‘24 M3P. But I really want a scout traveler when they’re available 🙏🏼
Yes I’m in SoCal, Long Beach area, SoCal Edison kills us here. And yes I’m on TOU, still high compared to other Cali areas.
Ye that light line delete looks great. Are we saying the Performance has that going all the way across still?
Just in time to avoid the gas price increase.
They all still have the line except for this budget model.
I still drive my gas car more. No range anxiety. Smoother more comfortable ride.
Range anxiety isn’t a thing if you even half try to plan a trip.
My model y performance is delegated to city only driving. The highway range on that car is an abysmal150miles and maybe 180 in ideal conditions. My wife gets frustrated with me having to spend nearly an hour changing it on long trips. Just not worth the stress when I can do the same drive round trip no stops and still have a quarter tank of gas left in my ICE vehicle. The peace of mind and not having to constantly stop is far worth the marginal increase in gas over electricity costs. Minus the rough ride quality, the Tesla is an okay city vehicle, as I can charge it at home and not think about it.
Tesla obitelj je srpska 😡😡🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻
I traded in my old gas guzzler for an MYJ. It’s totally worth it. Whenever anyone sneezes in the Middle East, the gas prices go up. I’m not playing that game any more.
How much mileage does the batteries give?
I got rid of my gas car and can't imagine ever going back. Life changes, shit happens, we often find ourselves in life situations which we could have never imagined, but as things are now, I can charge at home and at work so I've gotten over any range anxiety. Might even be driving from San Diego to Vegas and back in a couple of weeks. The built-in navigation will plan my route to make sure I can hit superchargers as needed. Yeah, it's not the same as I used to do when I was younger, like driving from NYC to Miami non-stop, no sleep, just gas and bathroom stops, but it'll be a much more relaxed drive, especially with self-driving. How many miles are on your model y performance that you're only getting 150 miles of range?
That depends on how many batteries you get. Each hold about 13.5 KwH. The car is around 75 KwH so not really helpful to charge off batteries for anything more than short distances. I charge my car during the day during full sun and that would take about 4 hours. The rest of the time I charge the powerwalls.
Very nice. Congrats!
I CANNOT WAIT! Mine is ready Wednesday! Dropping of my third and final Beemer✌️
Congratulations. Every time I get an ICE car from work via a rental I forget you have to turn off the car… Tesla is such a great experience enjoy it.
It is the interior that is lacking compared to the premium
Partly. The standard doesn’t have a finished frunk, no double pane glass and no center storage in the front.
The lack of center storage makes it feel empty and incomplete. I drove one the other day as a loaner while my juniper launch was in the shop
0% is hard to say no to. Congratulations on the purchase!
Congratulations! Hope you'll enjoy your tessie for many years! I have the standard as well and love it!
Congrats! Same story here, my white Model Y RWD is being delivered this Wednesday and I honestly can't wait! The excitement is real 😄 Which interior did you go for? I ended up choosing the all-black interior. Also not a huge fan of the hubcaps, so I'm swapping them out for Dezent AR Black alloys, sticking with 18" and the standard tyre size to keep the range.
Notice, no pictures of old buddy. It’ll be very hard to go back to an ICE car/truck. Welcome to the fam!
Hello. One stupid question, if you change the rim, you can keep the tyre no? Also, do you have any estimate on the change/increase of efficieny? Its suppose that the ugly hubcap is there just cause its super efficient…
If I could mix the front of standard with the rear light with premium, it would be my perfect car.
Great. I ordered 2 weeks ago my Y standard and I’m excited waiting for it. As you said we are gonna be free of oil prices oscillations. I live in Germany and I can’t charge the car at home. I will pay around 0,45eur/kwh(22KW) AC Or 0,55/kwh DC. We just drive in the city and we are gonna save a good money with fuel.
I did same choice. Not possible to not buy it. I ordered the grey one 2 weeks ago.
Does that glass make it much louder?
Personally I love the look of the line all the way across :)
Sadly, only 30k miles. I super charge it maybe 3-4 times a year. Only do a full charge if I am going to go on a longer trip which is very rare. It's charged at home to 80 percent most of the time. It's an okay car, but I don't think the technology is there yet. Once battery technology improves and the range and charging speed improves, I'll be ready to get rid of my ICE car. Till then, it's a city car for me.
plus you can qualify to get up to 6k subvention from the government... i will most likely only pay 33k€ with 0% loan... no brainer
At only 30K miles, I'd go straight to a Tesla service center and put in a warranty request for a new battery. Not sure why you're getting downvoted for sharing your issues. But that should be covered under warranty.
Welcome! Enjoy!
This being the standard is crazy, it just looks so much better then the “higher” tiers
I’m sorry, but Standard looks ridiculous. It’s like: 😑
If the frunk was better, and they kept the glass roof, and did not make disgusting thing with the back cupholders that would have been great car, but man these cupholders like WTF is wrong with these designers. And the frunk saving 1 dolar for plastic
Yes, tyres stay the same as long as the rim diameter matches (18"). The aero hubcaps are probably slightly more efficient, but the range difference is minimal in practice. Alloys just look so much better that it's worth it! 😄
Perfect, thank. You are right, the alloys looks great. I may gift it to myself in my next birthday
Probably much lighter too so efficiency should go up. Go with a flow forged set. Alot of good choices from Konig Wheels. Fairly cheap and light.
I completely agree on the front end!
Is that the AWD or RWD?
hey how ist the speed compared to premium and how does acceleration feels?
Just scored my MY Premium AWD last week in quicksilver and having a blast. Forget EV, for me the biggest attraction is the FSD for my 1 hour commute here in SEPA, turnpike, expressway and Blue Route and the treacherous rush hour interfaces between them all handled with aplomb. Astonishing really.
How about both. The Traveler does look really cool.
