Help Identify Frunk Part

cardwink | 2026-03-07 15:38 | 2 views

Last night I closed my frunk (yes softly, first click it down then a gentle push to lock it) as I pushed to lock it I heard a crunch. I opened the frunk again and saw this piece sitting on the surround next to the latch. Any idea where it goes? TIA!

Looks like the (extremely fragile) clip that goes on the left/right side of that removable upper cowling in the frunk area. Not your fault and honestly not a necessary clip.

They break easily — I think I am missing at least three.

I think I see what you’re talking about on the left and right side. Both are still there and intact. What probably happened is I had my windshield replaced recently by Tesla. They probably lost track of the clip and just put a new one in. I hadn’t popped the frunk since then. Thanks for the help!!

You can buy a bag of them off Amazon. They align the plastic panels in the frunk. No biggie. Easy to break but easy to swap
