UK Drivers - Enhanced Autopilot / FSD / Neither?

BrookesyUK | 2026-03-07 14:28 | 6 views

As a UK driver who is used to adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist on my current car (Non EV) - is it worth getting either of these upgrades for the MY LR Premium (are they over an above standard ACC&LKA?) it’s an extra £3400 or £6800 TIA!

Nope. While Europe still got free autopilot, just stick with that. Paying for EAP makes no sense just for things like auto park and lane change in AP. FSD? Well they try to get regulatory approval, but who knows how long is that gonna take? If you really want FSD just subscribe monthly whenever it becomes available.

I would go for EAP if you drive on the motorways a lot.. the auto lane keeping (auto steering is great) and auto lane change even though not activated works by indicating and then nudging the steering wheel.. otherwise you have to deactivate and reactivate if you just have basic autopilot.. Plus EAP enhanced auto pilot users in the US has an offer to upgrade to fsd for 2k and receive the subscription for half price which I would think they would do here too.. Plus the auto parking has really improved over the last year.
