I can only speak for my experience but I got the exact value quoted during the online paperwork when I traded my Tiguan for my Model Y. Easiest trade in ever; just took my plates off and handed them the title and keys.
And I got 2000 free supercharging miles as a bonus for trading in a gas car.

Thank you for your response!! Did you have to put down the additional $3000 for the 0% or do they consider the trade in? At this rate I’m being offered 4,500 trade in but will owe $500 of my remaining balance.

I’d rent a 3 and a Y on Turo for a weekend each. If you’ ve been in a 3 series, the Model 3 is closer.

Thank you! I am looking for something larger this time.

Only if you can charge at home

Not on Turo

Can’t emphasize this too much. I’m on my 3rd Tesla. Model Y Juniper. If I couldn’t charge at home it would be a deal breaker for me. First thing I did in 2018 is install a Tesla charger in the garage. Those 3 cars have been the best cars I have ever had. And btw, I absolutely love FSD.

I traded in my 2021 Tesla Model 3 when upgrading to my 2026 Tesla Model Y Launch Series, and while their price wasn’t the best, it was the most convenient. I simply showed up at delivery with my old Tesla, signed some papers and drove away in a half hour with my new Model Y. Easy peasy,

I’m doing everything online right now online. Already downloaded the app and working through the steps. At a halt on the financing decision. It says it could be up to 72 hours even though I did the pre approval steps on the website :/ delivery dates luckily have not been predetermined but I guess I will hear something sooner rather than later.

I didn’t put down any cash. Just used my equity…it really only took 10 minutes between walking in and sitting in my car to set things up.

I got approved and my car will be delivered Wednesday! Meanwhile BMW keeps texting and calling me to come by. I’m very excited for my experience ahead 😁

My experience: the financing approval took a few hours, but that was not on a weekend. Trade in offer was $100 more than initial estimate on my current model 3.

We got approved in 15 mins. It was crazy simple.

The sales guy who called me after my test drive told me as long as the trade in made it to the dealership under its own power they would accept it. I even lost my title and they accepted a lien release instead. They did not even look at it when I dropped the car off, just asked where it was parked.

This will be me tomorrow! I’m so excited I can’t sleep 🤣 just did my final payment. I’m putting a down payment and I guess the remaining amount from my trade in owed after their offer. I thought it was typically absorbed into the new financing but I guess they do it differently. It’s probably smarter this ways so I don’t have additional interest now that I think about it.
