Are Tesla app notifications different on Android than on iPhones? Wife gets all kinds of notifications from the car on her iPhone, I only get a couple on Android.

I'm the primary account holder and sent her an invite. She installed the app and signed in. As soon as she did, she started getting all kinds of notifications like a door was open, a window was down, sentry event, etc... She finally got tired of it and uninstalled the app and will install it again if she needs it (she won't be driving the car, I just wanted to set her up in case of an emergency). Meanwhile, as she was getting all these notifications on her iPhone, I'm sitting right next to her and get absolutely nothing on my Android phone. I've gone into the app's notification settings and all I have for notification options are alarm, charging started/stopped/interrupted, software update, and cabin overheat protection. In the app itself I'm not seeing any options for the notifications she gets - doors and windows open, sentry events, etc. Just charging, alarm, and cabin overheat. I've also gone into my phone's notification settings and for the Tesla app it's basically either on or off. I have it on. Is this just due to a difference between Android and iPhone? I'd really like to get the other notifications if possible.

Interesting, I was excited to gain many of those as options, and many more, when I started using Tessie for other features, I think a lot of those I don't get direct from Tesla on Android, no iPhone to compare to. There are notifications in the hamburger menu of the Android app but not for all you listed. Those and many more are available in apps like Tessie for Android.

I get those on my Android. Go into the Tesla App, click on the hamburger. Then click on your name and you will see Notifications. I'm pretty sure there's a similar menu on the iPhone version where your wife could shut them off.

Yeah, I see that but the only categories there are Car Alarm, Charging started/interrupted/complete, Software Update, Overheat Protection, and Preconditioning Complete. No other alerts or notifications like doors or windows open, Sentry events, etc. What alert options do you have in that menu?

I have the same ones, but I get alerts when charging is stopped/slowed, windows and doors are left open as well. Strange. Maybe Tesla support can clue you in.

I can get the charging alerts but nothing when doors and windows are open. No sentry event notifications either.

You only get sentry notifications if the alarm goes off or someone pulls a door handle

I'm in the same boat as you. No notifications for sentry alerts on Android.

I would think those would come under alarm? Maybe turn it off and on?

Well go figure, last night the car updated to the current software and FSD versions and this morning I'm suddenly getting alerts for doors being open. I guess it was the software version?? Who knows...
