It’s r/tires, not r/teslamodely for starters

Holding air? Go to tire shop. Looks fixable to me, but then again, I’m not trying to sell new tires

this zone can be repaired/patched, DIscount tire can do it.

A puncture there is an easy fix. This kind of slice, however, may be fatal to the tire. Talk to an expert.

Thanks! Getting it towed to DT, hopefully they can fix it.

I hope you are not fixing them either. This is a half inch piece of steel, how on earth would you fix this?

The puncture spot is repairable but if that steel piece sliced through the tire, it will not be repairable.

Patch is max 1/4 of an inch

That area is normally repairable, but it’s a wide cut. Tire is probably toast. On the bright side, the car is new so there won’t be a big difference in tread if it’s replaced.

I would always tow to DT if there is a choice, worst case is you buy a new tire cheaper than Tesla will sell it.

DT, and buy the protection package on all 4 if you have enough tread, it’s much cheaper than Tesla. I got a slash on my MYJ and got a brand new same brand tire for free.
