New Model Y, February build date. What software and FSD versions are required for Grok to work with navigation and FSD? Mine doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong?

::EDIT:: Mystery solved. Turns out I actually *was* doing something wrong. I had Grok set to Argumentative mode. Apparently navigation interface only works in Assistant mode. I had thought the modes were just different personality styles, not that they actually have completely different capabilities. I went to my garage and tried it in Assistant mode and it worked. Stupid me... I really had no idea. I have SW 2025.44.400 and FSD 13.2.9 and Grok tells me it cannot input routes to the navigation system. I've seen a million videos of people doing this with Grok including one with 13.2.9 but I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Google AI says this - Yes, [Grok](https://www.google.com/search?q=Grok&sca_esv=161ca3728c5ba3b4&ei=UuGoaZytH5PAkPIP5JWc0Ao&biw=1463&bih=752&ved=2ahUKEwjW2Yzq0oeTAxXyIkQIHRpEGxMQgK4QegQIARAC&uact=5&oq=does+grok+work+with+FSD+13.2.9%3F&gs_lp=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-zLCRab_XULoGBAgBGAe6BgYIAhABGAqSBwQyLjMwoAeTuQGyBwQxLjMwuAfXH8IHCTItMjAuMTEuMcgHhAKACAA&sclient=gws-wiz-serp&mstk=AUtExfAEBy1d3yA9F4SVwNP1tg8t16qPQmA3k3jfD1cUh4hKUB15uZapHWUOVJuRqTen-7cD0wcOf04Ol42YZ1u1cvHtkFP0LhynCOBSQgMY0QckOtYuj7SQybSvzwXAkv02qF8&csui=3) works with FSD 13.2.9. It is integrated as an AI voice assistant in Tesla vehicles (HW3/HW4 with AMD Ryzen) running on software versions 2025.26 or later, enabling natural language, navigation commands, and in-vehicle queries. Key Details: * **Functionality:** Users can initiate navigation, ask questions about Tesla/SpaceX, and interact via the steering wheel controls. * **Requirements:** Requires vehicles with AMD processors and software version 2025.26 or later (with some features requiring 2025.44.25+). * **Availability:** Confirmed to work on 2026 Model Y with FSD 13.2.9.  So what am I doing wrong? I asked Grok to create a route in navigation and it said it cannot do it and that it cannot interact with navigation.

Grok being able to integrate with navigation was added in one of the 14.2.x versions. You will get it when your car updates to 14.x soon enough.

My loaner model X is on 2026.2.9 and can navigate with grok.

Thanks. I'm patiently waiting...just thought maybe I was doing something wrong since Google seems to think it's supposed to work with the sw and fsd versions I have.

I wonder how long the update to 2026.2.9 takes. Does it usually happen at the same time as FSD 14?

New cars take about a month for software updates to appear.

🤷‍♂️

Yep, I know that. I just really didn't know whether Grok was supposed to work with navigation on the versions I have. Google says it should, my experience says either Google is wrong or I'm doing it wrong. I was just trying to get confirmation one way or the other.

I love Grok’s unhinged mode. Be creative with those prompts, and you can really have fun 👍

I’ve had my model y for nearly a month and stuck on v13 and I even started a service ticket with no help on getting to v14….the only reason I want v14 is so my wife doesn’t have to leave 2 versions of fsd…she’s not very tech savy
