Premium all day, even if you have to skimp on awd. If you live in snowy area, only then awd makes more sense.

Premium for sure. AWD if you like in a snowing area else RWD is fine

Isn't the performance top most trim?

RWD Premium is the best choice if you reside in a region with mild to moderate snowfall.

depending on what you’re coming from a tesla can feel like the best vehicle ever invented or kinda cheap… it really just depends.
if you’re coming from a honda, toyota, a beater subaru then get the model y awd, if you’re coming from something a bit nicer get the premium, it will have the maximum range and will be a genuinely nice car.
all teslas are a bit cheap, if you’re tech forward you’d adore the car and self driving features, if you’re coming from a luxury brand i’d consider some other options like mercedes new cla on the ev platform some of lexus hybrid offerings.
tesla will never not be the best choice in value+tech+longevity ≠ luxury/fit and finish

Man, I love the sound system in the premium. I don't know if that's important to you, but it is to me.

FYI, for the model Y, there is standard (think base model), premium, and performance. For the standard and premium, you have a choice between RWD and AWD.
Personally, I would get a premium over a standard every time. The added features and comforts are worth it to me. I live in an area where there is a lot of rain/snow, so I got the AWD.
The performance is for those who want a higher level of performance, at the expense of ride comfort and range. Yea, it’s a bit faster, but even the slowest Model Y is no slouch.

Premium or performance. The regular sucks

A lot of things about the standard models including non-insulated frunk. That’s a huge deal breaker especially if it rains or snows. Other than that, if you can afford to go premium, go for it. 0.99% Apr is too good to pass up.

Premium, too much stripped out on the standard for the 5k difference.

Premium, for many reasons but if you are going to do longer drives, range is important
