Wow, that would drive me insane. Mine does not do that, so I suppose that it is not normal. Make another appointment....

Got my new 26 MY last week and noticed the same whining noise yesterday.
Not able to reproduce it so far.

Yeah I noticed it shortly after I took delivery in December but went away. Now when I hear it, seems to last a few hours, then it’ll go away for some time. I have an appointment with service tomorrow so going to ask them about it.

Hope they find the source of the sound.
I too opened the service request just now waiting for them to review and get back.

So I ended up resetting the car with the steering wheel buttons and the noise instantly went away. But still have no idea what it could be.

My mother in law didn’t really hear it either. It’s such a high frequency I can see how some people aren’t able to hear it. It’s definitely there though.

Thank you for sharing this workaround. I will try when it happens the next time.
If this step removed the sound, does not sound like mechanical issue to me. Perhaps some electronic cooling system or something.
Hope they find the cause. I have an appointment 2 weeks from now :(

Wow that's really freaking annoying.
Maybe it's the AC compressor whine? Try turning the HVAC fully off and see if it goes away.

Jesus that sounds like tinnitus. I’d go crazy hearing that while driving

Honestly thought it was me the first time it showed up. One of the many things driving me crazy with this car unfortunately. Had high hopes for juniper but has been a big let down so far :/

I tried that but didn’t go away. I mentioned in another reply here resetting the car with the steering wheel controls made it stop and hasn’t come back so far.

I had this issue early on. It was tied to Bluetooth and would appear after ending phone calls. The only way to get rid of it was to reset the car. Software updates seem to have remedied the issue for me.

Haha good luck been dealing with this in my highland since I got it last year. The service center always hears it and then returns it saying they can't hear it. I've given up I'm just waiting for my lease to end in 2 years I can't believe how terrible the service has been. Requested them to replace the front motor but they refuse to do anything.

Hmm interesting. Yeah a reset made it go away for me. And I was on the phone shortly before I noticed it as well.

I did not hear anything untill I un-muted the video. It's quite high, might need an FFT to convince some people it exists.

Yeah my wife has a 2026 LR awd and it was fantastic for the first couple months. Now after 15k miles, it’s developing rattles and weird noises. Got a service appt scheduled so fingers crossed i can replicate sounds!

Do you hear it when it's conditioning for supercharge? It's expected then.

No I’m familiar with that noise, but this isn’t that. When this starts it’ll be all the time, driving, idle, etc. I can even leave the car come back later and it’ll still be going on.
