I went from paying 800 every 6 months to 1150. Coming from a 2012 Honda Civic Base to the 2026 model y premium AWD. I was kinda astonished it wasn't higher. I'm 30 with a perfect driving record.

In Los Angeles I'm paying $380 per month. Flawless record, 30 years old. When my policy was up for renewal in December, I was quoted $440 but reduced some coverage to bring it down to my original $230. Rates went up so much and I fucking hate it. $230 was already a tough pill to swallow

NYC $294 per month for MY Juniper. I couldn't pull the trigger and forfeited $250. More than what I'm paying for two cars.

All these prices are useless without knowing what deductible, glass coverage, towing, under insured, etc you want or each person has. Lots of variables and good insurance is expensive.

PA 26M, I pay $170/ for my MS and $135/mo on my MY prem. I also ride a motorcycle and have an at fault accident on my history. $500 deductible on comp and collision. Insurance is through Liberty Mutual
Came from paying about $180 on my WRX with worse coverage and $1000 deductibles
Realistically apart from your own history it’ll just depend on where you live

What other people pay is going to be wildly different depending on a lot of different factors. Just get quotes from multiple providers and see what it will cost for you.

Honestly, even the it’s still the shot in the dark. I think the best measure we have is just to know someone’s credit score and deductible.

$154/m for a 25 MYP with 100/300/100 coverage, $10,000 medical, uninsured motorist bodily injury(UM property damage barely exists in my state because it isn't required unfortunately) and a $500 deductible through Liberty Mutual. No towing or rental car. We also have a 24 MYP that is $151/m. We do have it combined with home insurance, they were also cheaper than everyone else on that.
It took a lot of shopping to find it, was previously at $210/m through Progressive with a $1000 deductible and $800 more a year on home insurance. Vast majority of other companies quoted way higher on both so you've got to shop them all as your variables are different than mine so they'll all give different prices compared to me.
Costco and AAA were the only other 2 that came in close on pricing for us. Unfortunately Costco declined due to a couple accidents we had(1 at fault and 1 not at fault hit and run). AAA I opted to pass on due to many reports I saw that they do a big rate increase at your first renewal. I was surprised to find that Liberty actually reduced the price on our auto after the first renewal, likely due to length of time just crossing 3 years on the first accident but still nice to see it go in that direction.
