Wiper blades retracting normally?

I’m going crazy trying to determine if my 2021 wipers are retracting fully. I just had my windshield repaired and the shop put new wipers on. I’m trying to determine if the drivers side wiper is retracting fully and low enough. This is what it looks like when the wiper hasn’t been used and is retracted from eye view height.

The wipers should fully be under the lip of the hood of the vehicle. If you can see them when not in use, they are installed incorrectly. Edit: they retract under the hood lip after a few seconds of not being used.

Thanks for confirming. I just looked and was able to tell that when the wipers are used, the drivers side wiper comes nearly fully off the windshield. I believe they bent the mechanism or wiper itself.

When your wipers are parked, they should be aligned with the markers on your screen. I can’t attach a picture for some reason but on a 2021 Y, you have 2 arrows in the black glass mask that the wipers should “park” in. If they are sitting high then you’ll need to go back and get them adjusted.

Probably not bent, they were removed for the glass replacement and are not fully keyed. The motor shaft has ribs that bite into the softer arm metal. It’s very easy to align them wrong if you don’t know what to look for (the markers in my other comment)

I had my wiper fluid pump replaced, and they didn't align the wipers properly. I was able to the tip of the driver side wiper out of the 'hidden' view that it should be. I complained, the service center associates said to me it was suppose to be like that, after I did some research and was convinced that they're wrong. Got there, and they adjusted it. I guess you can self-adjust but why would I when under warranty.
