Dirt Under Juniper Rear Light Bar

shellimedz | 2026-03-03 02:05 | 11 views

Have any of you noticed that the rear light bar get dirt trapped under it. Usually when I'm washing my car and I spray that area all the dirt gets dislodge and it seems almost impossible to get all of it. Then once the car dries there are little streaks of dirt where it runs out from under the light bar. Just checking if this is something I should tell the service center.

Poor design tbh.

It’s a pan to clean. You have to open the hatch I feel like to get it all too. Otherwise it will run out when you start driving and get dirty again!

And the aerodynamic design/body lines cut through wind and leave tons of dust/dirt on the lower panel of the rear hatch. Even in dry weather.

Yes. The back is always dirty.

After a wash I open the rear hatch to let all the water run off and clean the jambs. I found myself wiping it with a microfiber cloth and quick detailer every few days. 🥹

I live on a dirt road. I don't have a Juniper, or even a Y for that matter, but every seam in both my Model S and 3 get TONS of dirt in them. They're impossible to keep clean. When I do wash them, every little Crack where panels meet will have dirt coming out of them. Tail light seams, trunk lid seam, wing seam, bumper seam, door seam. Every single one. The only way to not have this happen is to not drive on dirt roads. Lol

Snow enters the chat.

What does snow do? I live in Florida.

I don't even know if avoiding dirt roads would help. My car is dusty in all the openings too I have wipe them out every time I wash the car.

If it’s snowing, it basically covers the entire back of the car, obscuring all the lights and the plate.

Oh wow that's crazy. I guess that makes sense with the ledge there.
