so yeah, 2 things I really don't like about the juniper. Great, I guess...
I know you can turn the ambient lighting off, but what don’t you like about the steering wheel? This is tempting but maybe you can provide some insight why the Juniper steering wheel isn’t the move.
So my understanding is that the older computers won’t get the updates that put the controls on the wheel instead of their respective buttons. So this new wheel probably wouldn’t tell the car to do the buttons that are on the wheel either right? So I’d be paying for a wheel with a whole bunch of buttons that don’t work?
well, disregarding the loss of stalks and things moving to the wheel (not "exactly" a wheel issue that), let me tell you my experience. The other day I brought my 2025 pre-juniper MY RWD to service and lo and behold there was a juniper AWD Long Range there for testing so I took it out. First thing that struck me was the wheel hurting my palms. I was like wdf? Turns out, how to explain this, you know how the wheel's cross section is not exactly circular (also in my MY RWD wheel) ? Well, for the juniper they've made the cross-section a sharper ellipse, if that makes sense. So in return you have a sharper angle resting against your palms. I drove the thing for abt 45 mins and I felt the strain in my palms for several hours after that. Maybe something one will get used to over time but for my A/B testing it really was uncomfortable. And oh, I actually don't like the new center/airbag design either.
They work
There's really no point to this upgrade. The swivel screen from hansshow is great though.
Why
You sound pathetic tbh
Right, ofc. And you sure don't 🤣.
The Model Y turns into the Model Why
I don’t understand people’s fascination with the lights?
That is nothing like a Juniper’s interior. 🤔
Ventilated seats are the best upgrade - native Floridian.
Oh fucking pulease, it hurt your palms? What kind of fucking death grip are you applying? My only objection to the steering wheel is I can’t use my palm for the scroll wheel as it is inset compared to my model 3 I traded in.
I bought my 21MYLR in… 2021. Still love the car. Just crossed 100,000mi And hopefully after another 100,000 miles (in 2-4 years), I’ll sell it and buy a new MYLR
I would do the wheel. It feels way better than the old one. But the lights are not needed
I read about half, the other half was like whiner noise in dumb and dumber
OK… I didn’t even realize those were so important. Definitely not the reasons I grabbed Juniper over the older models.
I can’t lie, I like the light mod 😂
Is that you "Florida Man" ?
