Congratulations!! I brought mine home yesterday. Spent all morning installing all the accessories I bought for it, then took a couple of people out for a test drive. They were completely blown away by FSD. It had a couple of issues navigating to the correct destinations but the actual driving part was pretty much perfect. FSD is the primary reason I bought this particular car. So far I'm absolutely loving it. Taking the dogs out in it tomorrow. Already put the floor mats, cargo protector, and dog hammock in place. I know this is the honeymoon phase but as of right now, this is the most awesome car I've ever owned in my almost 60 years. And I've had some very cool ones! Let's see how I feel after the honeymoon phase is over but for now, I couldn't be happier.

Why not go for AWD?

Parikh1234 2026-03-01 03:42

Which accessories did you get?

Is the baby inside the car?

Wow, ok, let's see... Covered bins that fit in the two compartments on the left and right sides just inside the hatch/trunk Set of floor mats and cargo area covers 10-piece cubby/organizer trays Under-display storage drawer Center console armrest pad/protector Dog hammock/seat protector for the back seats Seat back/kick protector covers for the back of the front seats Trunk sill protector Air flow vent covers for the vents under the front seats. Screen protectors for the front and rear screens Mud flaps Tire valve stem covers - black with the red T logo Additional J1772 adapter. I will use the stock one at home and the additional one at work. USB charger hub. This is very cool. It fits in the front compartment of the center console, plugs into the 12V socket, and has one USB-C port, one USB-A port, an Apple Lightning connector, and a USB-C connector. It looks OEM. Foldable Bluetooth keyboard. Got all of that from Amazon. When I picked it up I drove straight to a tint shop and had them tint the front windows to match the rear, and put clear tint on the windshield to reduce heat and UV. Got the highest heat/UV rejection they had. In a couple of weeks I will also put clear tints on all the rear windows to get more UV rejection. I think that's pretty much everything.

Parikh1234 2026-03-01 15:54

Oh interesting. The rears come with tint? Also what underscreen cubby did you end up getting?

StormTrpr66 2026-03-01 16:01

Yeah, on the rear windows it's not actually tint, it's privacy shading. It doesn't do much for UV. At least the model I got came that way - Premium AWD. This is the underscreen shelf I got - [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D2Z6L9LD](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D2Z6L9LD)

Did you hear that the under screen shelves cover the temperature sensor? Any experience on HVAC minor working as well?

StormTrpr66 2026-03-01 16:29

I haven't heard of that or run into any issues with HVAC. I'm in SoCal and our temperature is all over the place. You can wake up and it's 45 degrees out, then by noon it's 80, so I will be using both AC and heat all the time. If I notice anything strange I'll try removing that shelf and see if it fixes it. But yesterday I drove around for a while in 80 degree heat, AC worked fine. I also used the remote climate control to cool the car down before I got in after it had been sitting in the sun for an hour. Interior temperature showed over 100. I set it to 78 and it cooled it down in just a couple of minutes.

Nice. I might buy one to give it a shot. My car comes in two weeks

Been on the honeymoon phase since I picked mine up in September. I don’t think the honeymoon phase ends

BinaryShrub 2026-03-01 17:17

FSD v14.2.2.x is a must if you can afford it. Note: If I couldn't afford it every month I would at least budget the use it for a road trip.

PugMaster007 2026-03-03 00:39

Looks great!

TT603 2026-03-03 02:35

Picked up mine early November, and like you, have owned and driven ICE cars of all makes, models and price points. The MYLR is my first EV and has been my favorite so far. I use FSD a fair amount in stop-go boredom and highway, but I really enjoy going out when the roads are quiet and having some fun. Plenty to have.
