Found metal ball in front seat floor vent - does this piece matter?

Wise-Plane5958 | 2026-03-01 00:47 | 12 views

Had the dreaded something rolling around in the floor vent for about a month. No luck with leaf blower method and ended up using an endoscope and finding this. Fully expected a kid had dropped a marble under there but found this instead. Now just wondering if this might be part of a ball bearing or something that fell off anywhere. Mostly just relieved to not hear something rolling around every corner, but is this a piece of something that matters?

Sir, sir! That's OK, this plane doesn't have a "phalange".

It may matter to your wife.

The only part of the model Y interior that has semi-exposed bearings would be the front seat tracks, if the move forward and backwards just fine, don't stress about it

Can’t imagine they’d be this big

I had a car once that a ball like that inside the seatbelt tensioner. But I only saw it because the tensioner was busted to hell by some teenage feet in my backseat.
