That’s nice. FSD tried to kill me at a T-intersection stop sign by advancing toward cars that were moving at 55+mph. Then it tried to make me go 77mph in a 45mph construction zone. I d turned it off before the end of the free trials last year.

vhatvhat 2026-02-28 01:56

No it didn’t.

It does this. It ignores school zones and construction zones most of the time.

vhatvhat 2026-02-28 02:27

No it doesn’t.

What version of FSD were you using?

Wants-NotNeeds 2026-02-28 06:51

All I can say is mine dodged a bag of fast food the other night in the dark. That was pretty cool.

A version that passed Tesla’s quality control process. Pretending that version N-1 of FSD was terrible and that version N awesome is a tactic that doesn’t work 13 times in a row. At some point we have to be able depend on Tesla’s Q&A process.

Groundbreaking_Box75 2026-02-28 16:08

It absolutely doesn’t - in fact it’s amazing in construction zones. Which means you are either a troll or your experience with FSD was over 6 months ago on older hardware.

🤡

A version that was supervised or unsupervised? You are still responsible for FSD that’s why it says FSD (supervised). Pretending that a new technology should work like magic without any issues just because it drives itself doesn’t absolve you of responsibility. The truth is that better hardware and software = better results. There’s a massive leap from V12 to V14. Whether you like it or not it’s the truth.

I love my FSD but it did indeed have me going 60 in a 45 yesterday and also speeding through a construction zone. While in Standard.

So your suggestion is that Tesla has bad software and good software, and that bad software made its way through Tesla’s Q&A process to my car — while Tesla and kept the good software for robotaxis? From my perspective as a Tesla owner, that’s not the flex you think it is. I just want Enhanced Autopilot.  After I turned off FSD, that’s what I had during the free trial — and it was the best-functioning drivers assistance package Tesla makes based on my experience in my car on the roads I drive.  But Tesla took it off the menu.

No my suggestion is Tesla came out with FSD a few years ago and improved with each software update and hardware upgrade. V14 is objectively better than V12. Using an older version while assuming it should function just as good as the latest version is simply illogical. Robotaxis/cybercab aren’t even available to order yet and latest HW4 cars like refresh model 3 and model y have the latest V14 FSD which drives perfectly well for 95% of use cases. From my perspective complaining about old technology and blaming it on the company instead of understanding the underlying tech isn’t the flex you think it is. Most car companies don’t even do software updates and no company offers full self driving like Tesla does. This is like saying oh apple kept the good software for the latest iPhones? Duh obviously they did. It’s the most obvious thing in the world. Software updates will go out based on the hardware capable of supporting it. If you don’t like tech I suggest buying a gas car not a Tesla which literally has technology built in every aspect of the car.

Somtimes it just tries to inch forward to see traffic and people mistake it for going. It drives like a person you guys. Chill.

It is weird that N would be better than N-1... /s

BadMotherThukker 2026-03-01 13:35

This dude is tripping lol. Used FSD on trial says doesn't like it. Cries he can't get the dumbed down version of it.

Always_working_hardd 2026-03-01 14:58

FSD saved me once from hitting a donkey on the road. That was a wild experience.

MhVRNewbie 2026-03-01 15:38

How do you non proactively avoid a crash?

Groundbreaking_Box75 2026-03-01 16:10

By reacting only to the car directly in front of it (passive,) versus looking past the car and predicting the threat and taking action.
