If you are asking this question, you shouldn't be buying a Tesla, or any car. I really mean it.

margiela-mad-man- 2026-02-27 19:46

thanks for mentioning your payment dude !

margiela-mad-man- 2026-02-27 19:47

i’m on the same boat, i would say for next week (last month of the quarter) and see if tesla adds any deals for leasing. i’m hoping they bring back the $0 down offer from dec.

UnderstandingKey6118 2026-02-27 19:51

Really helpful!

Juniper is not the model, and gives us no information to be able to help you. We can help you if you tell us if you’re looking to lease one of the following: the 2026 Model Y Base RWD or AWD, the Premium RWD or AWD, or the Performance.

FoxBearBear 2026-02-27 20:02

Also depends on color, wheels, accessories ….

tmoney2390 2026-02-27 20:05

Tesla deals change all the time. Its maximizing our dollar. This question has no tell on a persons finances, outside of wanting not to pay cash lol.

NYHeel 2026-02-27 20:08

The current Tesla lease pricing is absolutely awful. It was much much better back in December and possibly January. I would not lease a Tesla at the current pricing. Maybe they’ll fix the pricing in March but right now it’s brutal.

Kvillase 2026-02-27 20:11

I didnt lease I financed to own. I have good credit and qualified for their .9% interest. I put 10k down on a model y awd long range premium and my payment is 700 and some change.

Work_In_Progress93 2026-02-27 20:13

I don’t have a MY yet, looking to get a MYP soon. To your question, it’s hard to give exact guidance given you didn’t specify the trim you’re looking at. Regardless your payment for a mid trim MY with average/good credit is going to be mid 700s if you put 2-3k down. That mid $700 for a car payment unfortunately the average car payment now. I don’t see how ppl with average income do it, but ppl do.

Lease payments seem to cover the (insanely) steep depreciation, after which you're left with nothing. If you always lease a new Tesla, you'd perpetually be in the steepest part of the depreciation curve. But, you'd be driving a new model all the time

Defnotserp 2026-02-27 21:12

I got my lease in December when they were offering 6500 off the lease and 0 down. 2026 Model Y Juniper AWD long range/premium with free upgrade for inventory (chose the red color). I have great credit and ended up paying 570 a month for 15k miles with tax and loyalty code, also has auto pilot. I’d wait at the current lease offers like others have said.

No-Milk-9709 2026-02-27 22:13

Mmmm doesn't that hurt though especially with insurance. Isn't the total monthly payment around 1k a month? Do you plan on keeping the vehicle forever or trading it in in a few years?

Adorable-Boat8632 2026-02-27 22:30

I’m paying 400 with 2500 down taxes and delivery fees ect “ 0 down “

Adorable-Boat8632 2026-02-27 22:31

They say 0 down but watch out for the hidden fees

jlgjlgjlgjlgjlg 2026-02-27 22:42

That’s amazing! What is a loyalty code?

weaksauce96 2026-02-27 23:03

I’m paying $494 and ordered the Diamond Black RWD back in December. The lease pricing will vary depending on term, credit, and any extras you add to the vehicle.

BigMike497 2026-02-27 23:34

569.81 with Zero Money Down through Chase Financial. 12,000 Miles per year, 3 year term. Tesla Model Y Premium AWD in December. Stealth Grey with White Interior (Free Upgrade)

VinceInMT 2026-02-28 00:22

I’m weird. I paid cash for my ‘24 MYLR. It’s the first new car I have ever owned and I’ve been doing for over 55 years. The last car was a used Suburban that we bought 24 years ago. We invest what would be debt service and payments and it eventually allows us to pay cash for whatever we want. (Done the same with houses.). And, no, I wasn’t a high earner, I was a school teacher.

Defnotserp 2026-02-28 00:22

It’s when you have a Tesla and get another one, basically referring yourself

rwhe83 2026-02-28 00:34

You don’t know how much the lease monthly payments are? Tesla literally makes them available on their site, 24/7…all you have to do is try, a little. Lease rates were great a few months ago, no reason to wait.

rwhe83 2026-02-28 00:34

It’s not gonna happen. Tesla even warned that the prices were going up at the end of year.

whand4 2026-02-28 00:55

I’m at $375 a month but put a little bit down.

wtfredditacct 2026-02-28 02:44

Average car payment for a relatively nice brand new car. People with lower income buy less expensive or used cars.

CinquecentoX 2026-02-28 05:26

Google and find yourself a car loan calculators. A payment is dependent on total cost, down payment, interest rate, and loan term. My payment amount is not your payment amount.

bbunchlouky 2026-02-28 12:33

More than a little

it_is_raining_now 2026-02-28 14:19

Same. And then the next day they roll in 0% APR. LOL

FrumundaCheeseTaco 2026-02-28 14:32

Have a 24 MYLR with 20 inch wheels. 15k/36mo lease. Paying 470 a month. I leased it exactly 2 years ago, so I have one year left. The money I would have spent had I purchased it 2 years ago is invested in S&P. I’ve made $19k in returns over last 2 years. While my lease payments to date and the money due at signing is only $14k. So I am essentially getting paid to drive my car. Factor in the $7500 credit (at the time) that was only available on a lease a not the purchase due to my income limits. Tell me again how leasing is bad?

FrumundaCheeseTaco 2026-02-28 14:38

Prices will come down. They did say prices were going up, to create urgency. When the R2 comes out watch them drop their prices. Just my .02

FrumundaCheeseTaco 2026-02-28 14:39

When did you execute your lease? Assuming late 2025

BigMike497 2026-02-28 15:00

Middle of December

AZFJ60 2026-02-28 15:54

Tell me again how you get those financials **today, in this market**. From Tesla's website **today** - 2026 MYLR, 20" wheels, $681/mo. finance, $3300 down, 0.99%. Same car, 36/15k lease, $4300 down, $685/mo. So yeah, you got a smoking deal thanks to being subsidized by the taxpayers, but those days are gone. For now...

FrumundaCheeseTaco 2026-02-28 16:28

This is so easy and can’t understand why people like you struggle with this. In this market, right now, I would lease a Cadillac lyriq. Current deals are approx 450 a month with a couple of thousand due at signing, for a 65k vehicle. I just helped my sister in law with negotiating this deal stacking Costco deal, gm credit card, conquest rebate and dealer money. My strategy is simple. I am not married to a particular brand. That said, I want a nice vehicle that is enjoyable. I target the best lease deal available for cars I would have no issue using for 3 years. I aim to keep my lease payment low, under $500, and try to keep the money due at signing to a minimum. All my savings get invested. Rinse and repeat. Also to your point about my smoking deal being subsidized by tax payer. I am a tax payer, and just finalized my taxes, my wife and I paid over 180k in federal taxes in 2025. But that’s a moot point…. I didn’t get the credit, the bank did. If the bank chooses to pass it to the leaseholder that’s their choice. Should have told Tesla no thank you?

FrumundaCheeseTaco 2026-02-28 16:32

Makes sense. Got in before the hike. Desks are trash now. Well played

iguessma 2026-02-28 17:52

If you're concerned about pricing you shouldn't be leasing. Leasing is an idiot tax 99% of the time.

mealteem6 2026-02-28 18:03

Right? I’m never concerned with pricing. I typically just go blindly into purchasing things, especially high price items, without considering what my best price options are. lol imagine braining.

iguessma 2026-02-28 18:08

Except, if you take a step back leasing is far more expensive than owning. If you chose the expensive route price shouldn't be a primary issue. Again it's an idiot tax.

sweetenerxo 2026-03-01 16:11

I have a similar, though mine is 485 but you’re not wrong about those hidden fees they got me good but the only upside is I did a inventory and got Quicksilver with White Seats
